yes but i don't do enough, certainly not to have you guys give me money... although id love to get the touch pro so i can continue to help cook and hack for that device too :P Juicy tho. this guy devotes 90% of his free time to the rom. i would say Juicy and ghettofreeryder, and tobeychris are worthy of donations as they all donate so much free time!

Sorry I'm a really new to all this custom rom stuff - but can someone please explain to me how battery life is improved with this ROM.

In light of the article from Criticalaudioinc:
Battery life issue on the diamond is due to the radio in constant refresh, basically instead of interval of 300ms the diamond was set to 100ms and causes battery drain.

Does Juicy's ROM here address the refresh or is that the Radio? Are Radio and ROM the same thing, just different slang?

Radio and rom are 2 different things. As for how battery is improve, it's through different settings in the rom configuration, as well as new battery dll that make better uses of power (if we can say so) and less power consumption. There's surely other things, juicy could tell you better then me what he did though.

some users were all up in arms over it because they thought it was too loud. so we reverted back and users who wish to use it can install it i think it works well.

I can't believe this is what happened! WTF! Absolutely the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a while. Juicy has done and continues to do an amazing job (free of charge) for all of us. His ROM has made the phone so much better than it would otherwise be.

Juicy, I do think you should ignore the idiots who gave you grief and at least put the donate link on the first post of the thread. Either way, I'll be PM'ing you soon. Keep up the good work!
