I just wanted to thank you Juicy, you're roms are sooo much better than the stock Sprint rom. So far, my first day with 2.5 has been phenominal for battery life. Here is what I did last night during the flash process:

1. Backed up using Sprite backup 6.02
2. Hard reset
3. Flashed 2.5 (coming from 2.4.1)
4. Hard reset
5. Restored backup using rom upgrade mode and checking the restore databases box.
6. Had the best performance, by far, since the 16th of September when I received the phone.

I took the phone off of the charger (fully charged) at 8:45AM and it is now 12:07AM (15 hours, 22 minutes) later and I have 4 bars (40%) left:

Talked for 30-45 minutes
Sent 15-20 text messages

Normally I have to put my phone on the charger when I get home at 5PM, so I couldn't believe my eyes all day when the battery went down so slowly.

Keep up the AWESOME work Juicy, I'm definitely in love with version 2.5 for Sprint.

hmm I used sprite backup and did rom upgrade mode to restore the backup and it reverted it back to 2.41 =/

does anyone know of any backup program that will restore everything and keep the settings in the previous rom?

I have read through the whole forum and I did'nt see anything pertaining to this so don't flame me if I missed it but, What exactly are "Hidden Notification Settings"

Something that Juggalo X put together - it lets you change some of the sound/notification settings that were previously unable to be changed if I understand it correctly.

where do i double check to make sure that it is still 2.5 and not back to 2.4.1?

if you flashed the 2.5 it wont fall back to 2.4.1. once flashed it cant go back without you flashing back to it.

Thank you, that's what I thought, but someone had mentioned that when I was restored a backup that I was putting the old rom back on it. But I didn't think so, especially since I specifically chose Rom Upgrade mode.

it doesn't put the rom files back but it does put the registry back which is just as bad. because your usually over writing registry changes we have made from one rom to the next.

Do you have any advice then on a way to backup only my programs and settings? Or is there no way to do that without forcing all of the registry entries too? What if I did rom upgrade mode, but unchecked the database checkmark?

I have done my research before, and read that I should use rom upgrade and restore databases, but I was unaware of this bringing back the stuff from the prior rom.

I have seen that most people prefer SPB Backup 2.0. Right now I'm using Sprite 6.02 and I think it is up to 6.5. So I'm willing to try SPB 2.0, but could someone give advice on how to set it up so that I don't overwrite things that shouldn't be overwritten?

that's exactly what I asked earlier. someone suggested SPB 2.0, but like I said before, Sprite Backup 6.03, even in rom update mode, rolls it back . You can check it on your device info and you'll probably notice the juicy firmware isn't correct.

From what I saw, the only option would be to have a limited restore which wouldn't be any better than PIMM backup anyway.

Not 100% sure but I believe SPB Backup does this.
