^^
THere are telus auth dealers here in Canada... Rallcom, to name one.... but in my experience, the returns that go through those dealers are ultimately the decision from someone at a corporate level.

Re: * UPDATED * JUICY ROM 2.6 [Full CE OS 5.2.20755][TELUS][Sprint]

Hey guys,

A little new to all this. However, I was wondering about something. Basically is there some way to get the phone to bring the screen up without having to hit the power button? Would it be stupid to suggest a way to use the Gsensors to say, turn screen on now the phone is moving? hmm maybe not, it will never go off.

I guess I am just bummed out that I have to hit the on off button. Not the end of the world, but like a swipe on the screen... something a little more eloquent would be nice. I guess this a HTC question I guess. Just wanted to throw it out there.

cheers

I wonder if this is possible as well.

I will probably use the Sprint version then
So after I flash it I can still make calls on it then, and it doesn't affect it being activated?

Thanks for that.. However, I am fully aware of that action. I was really trying to get an idea / make a suggestion that, could there be an alternate to the obvious. Like a push on the home button, or tap on the screen.

I guess that would be a no.

cheers

Re: * UPDATED * JUICY ROM 2.6 [Full CE OS 5.2.20755][TELUS][Sprint]

Thanks Juicy and sorry to here of your problems Juggalo...

Running 2.6 for Sprint, two things not working for me...

1) I tried using the commandline WeatherDatabase Editor http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=420817 , when I set it up under 2.5 it worked but I have tried a couple hard resets and it gives me the following errors:

An error occurred on sub_sql_stuff ...Attempt to write to a read-only database attempt to write a readony database Continue?

2) Second Today failed to load system today-watermark, then a failed to initialize error. (I think this has been reported by others)

The UC worked great except for the WeatherDatabase commandline...

Re: * UPDATED * JUICY ROM 2.6 [Full CE OS 5.2.20755][TELUS][Sprint]

Hey, sorry to repeat this question but i think it got overlooked because of juggalo's misfortune.

All of this brings up a question for me. Does modifying your phone go against anything in your contract with telus or does it just void the warranty? I don't mind voiding the warranty, but i don't neccesarily want to break contract terms. I can't imagine it wouldn't be allowed though considering you are the owner of the phone.

Also, if a WM6.2 or whatever comes out, will Juicy rom 3.0 be compatible with it or will i need to flash back to a different rom before upgrading to WM6.2?

taking your device back with a modified rom of any sort and they will not fix it under warranty. my slip up was i didnt flash back the stock splash screen. before i relocked. they noticed and screwed me on it.

otherwise if you flash back and relock they cant tell it was modified at all and warranty is still good.

Thanks for the reply Juggalo, sorry about your loss.

When you say flash back to the stock splash screen, how do you do this? Does juicy's rom change the splash screen or did you do that yourself afterwards? Also, which is the splash screen? haha. Is it the startup screen? Because if so, when going through the forums i thought that i saw a post by cmonex with her custom splash screen but she warned that once this was done there was no stock one available to revert to.
