Noob question, if I want to go from say JuicyROM to MightROM4 do I simply just install a new ROM or do I have to hard reset , go back to Telus ROM and then try a new ROM?

Thanks!

it is advisable to first burn in a stock "shipped" ROM before burning in another non-stock ROM.

also highly recommended to do a "Clear Storage" after burning a new ROM. Indeed, I *just* had a problem with this... burned in several ROMs (with intervening stock ROM burns) before settling on Mighty rom4. But I found that I could NOT activate the phone because the MSL was not recognized!

A Clear Storage FIXED this problem, much to my surprise...

cool thx any idea how to get pimbackup in my programs list? its annoying to open the file explorer everytime i need to back up stuff

In general, simply select the program/file, and choose Menu/COPY, then nav into the \Windows\Start Menu\Programs folder and choose Menu/Paste ShortCut. Then you may wish to Menu/Rename to change the name of the shortcut from "ShortCut to..." to simply the name of the program itself.

One issue that I may be having with this ROM, and I have no idea whether it is generic to all ROMs, is the adjustment of in-call volume.

I typically have my phone set on Vibrate-only all the time. Whenever I get a call, I can't seem to adjust the volume at the earpiece.

Furthermore (and this may be part of the problem), when I hit side volume buttons, it shows a single screen that has the options "System" and "Ring" (along with the volume slider and Vibrate/Silent. But one needs THREE volume options: System (speaker), Ring and In-call (earpiece).

On my old Touch, the in-call volume is adjusted only during a call. I can't seem to get there on the Diamond at least with this ROM...

noob question? or noob answer more like...
To go from Juicys 6.5 ROM to Mikes 6.1 ROM you should flash to your shipped ROM, then flash the new ROM, then do a hard reset. Or tomorrow you will be the guy saying, "my phone does weird stuff now. I dont like this ROM."
