Ringtone corruption error for me just now (R3BORN Beta3)...directly after playing different wavs in wmp, exiting out after each file played. I couldnt get it to do it again though.

i just got the corrupted ringtone error as well on the r3born beta...it was working fine earlier while i was working...i hooked up my phone to the laptop (phone as modem) and noticed when i got calls in that it was playing universal ringtone (innovation) instead of the one i preset to those people...

So far everything is working great. You've killed the ringer bug. All my WMAs (custom) are ringing good. I haven't checked MP3s yet, but the only thing that has gone wrong at all is a soft key on my second today went missing. Actually, it was the soft key I put on the main today screen to toggle to my Second Today screen. Oh, and one other thing. My Data Connection keeps turning on by itself. Shortens my battery life considerably. Does anyone know how to keep this from happening? I've had to turn it off three times in the last couple days.

you should read 2 or 3 page back and see... the opera.exe registry edit
and see if that can help you... (with you data turning on and off and with your battery life)

Mike, any reason for having Opera9.exe load on startup? It kills battery life substantially (as much as half). If you want to disable it I think the registry is HKCU/Software/HTC/Bootlauncher/Apps/Opera just delete the whole Opera thing.

Finally found an altered version of Showaco's Opera plugin that worked as a cab install. This one worked great now I have BOTH IE and OPERA on the first page of Might's v5. Loving this v5...

ok guys im still tryin to get some of that 6.5 re flashed like 10 times atleast still have the same issue with freezing, hard setting it self, then only the top bar poppin' up!!! and yes im using shipped telus rom, clear flash m5 the clear again same problems!! is this something to do with my phone??

possibly. but if you flash alot, their will be pieces of old roms that remain in the internal storage, specifically in the program files folder of internal storage. Before I flash another rom, I go into the program files(internal storage) and delete all old folders from previous cab installations except for a couple that dont seem to interfere like livesearch. this has worked for me flashing 6.1 roms and 6.5 roms. then flash shipped, hard reset, flash the custom rom of your choice, clear storage one more time if you like.

Or you can backup your internal storage files to your desktop (pictures in DCIM & other folders, music, video, cabs, etc. use Pim backup for text messages, calls, etc. whatever you want saved. then I do the same thing. Flash the shipped rom, clear storage and format internal storage, flash the custom rom, clear again. I made this suggestion to someone else tonight that was not getting past the first screen flashing a 6.5 rom, and it worked so hopefully it will work for you. good luck.

i do format the internal theres nothing on there i dont get a chance to even install cabs, im following these steps i dont know what the hell im doing wrong i've flashed all the time b4 but since i've been tryin to get on a stable 6.5, no 6.5 rom is working properly for me

sorry to hear that. Been flashing all the time as well. since going to 6.5, i had one time that my phone was completely stuck, went into bootloader, flashed the shipped rom and it worked.
