Well I jumped ship for a week to try Juicy's wm6.5 diamond ROM, lets just say it hasnt been a good week, and R3BORN is back on my phone... This was my 1st try at wm6.5.

So after trying wm6.5 for a week, I really dont understand why people want it so badly... I dont like it at all. I prefere the regular start menu, the tf3d program list, and the honeycomb thing is kinda neat but the novelty wears of pretty quick. Other than that the appearance is pretty much the same as wm61.

I have been reading Juicy's forum and it looks as if a lot of users have had issues with his rom. I had tried Bear-Bonz when he released a 6.5 rom and I really enjoyed it. I came back to mighty when he released R3BORN.

welcome back p2k. exact same thing for me. I will not try 6.5 again until it is officially released and bug free.

Beta 2 has been fine to me so far. Only thing is when I transfer files to my phone from my computer via bluetooth they are sent to my documents on the device and I have to click yes to save them. On 4.8 they were saved to my internal storage. Anyone know how to change this back to how it was on 4.8?

Yes I was one of the lucky few who actually manage to get it running without any customization issues... the problem I had was random freezing and when I hit a soft reset, it would end up hard resetting the phone. It did that to me 5 times in the 7 days I had it running.

For the most part it was running great I had a stretch of 3 days without any problems, and I see the potential for wm6.5. Just need to work on the reliability.

after loading juicys rom ive been having that issue with older roms that ive used in the past that never had that problem.. latest example, using MightRoms Beta2 i just had that issue happen right now, i installed selectradio cause ive been using that forever for my howard fix, i froze when i ran the program so i hit the reset button, it did a hard reset.. i never pressed anything when it said tap the screen then after about 30 seconds it did a constant vibrate.. the juicy really jack my.. well my phone is now giving me problems.. i cant even load stocks roms anymore cause then it just hangs on the red text boot up.. grrr

6.5 without manila has been solid for me. Faster system wide, doesn't slow down as much over time, just as stable and better battery life (~10%). Kinetic scrolling is a biggie for me and I like the WM fingermenus better than the HTC ones (bigger and require more scrolling). Start menu is pretty much the same as TF3D programs list if you get the right tools to customize/rearrange it. I actually prefer it since it's faster, especially if you use custom icons. I know the lack of manila is a deal breaker for a lot of you, but there are more and more titanium plugins/tools coming out to fill in the gaps. Still can't wait for Mike's rendition though :mrgreen:

I would agree that your phone is now giving you problems. Best thing to do is flash back to the shipped rom. Then back up your internal storage on your desktop. Through Settings>System tab>Clear Storage but also format your internal storage. that way everything is back to factory. Then send your files back to internal storage (cabs, music, pictures,etc) and it should run the way it used to. You may want to check what your are backing up. Make sure you dont back up folders that are from another custom rom like folders in the Program Files that are from previous cab installations or temp folders. Also you may need to back up your text messages, etc using pim backup or ms myphone, that is you you do this. Once you clean this device out, it should run properly again.

thanks for the advice but everything that youve mentioned ive already given a shot.. under settings i formatted storage and then after clearing everything i lost my storage drive.. i had to hook it up to the pc, select disk drive and format from windows.. quick format didnt work, after that my drive came back.. but even after formatting both drives i still cant load a stock rom without it freezing after configuring my device..
i dont wanna take this forum off topic and onto my problems since i already have a topic going regarding my issues where ive explained everything i have tried.. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=68787 please post there if you have suggestions, but again thanks for whatever input can be given!

try to install obexinboxex vga (and then you change where you want the file to be send)
