I have been having some problems with Arcsoft in this version anyway, maybe 4.8 will fix that. I'm loving the new menus, icons, and splash screen.

It shouldn't take that long to setup. get sashimi. I flash, hard reset, restore with SPB backup, and run sashimi and 95% of everything is done. I also had problems with arcsoft on 4.7. What I did was uninstall arcsoft. then run the picturemail and arcsoft remove.cab and then install the arcsoft mms 5.0.82.79 and then install the arcsoft generic icons-new.cab (if wanted). (of course a soft rest between each step cant hurt). Now its working great on 4.7

Ok, so I was totally in love with 4.7 until today...

I just got home, and decided to fire off a few texts, but now the Messaging tab doesnt even work..it shows up but none of the buttons on it work, I cant click a message...I cant reply...zip. So i figured maybe a soft reset will do the trick...now there's even MORE problems, wtf? Now the entire TF3D is f'd up. I can't view any other tab then the home tab, if i scroll to another tab, TF3D just relaunches, and sets me back to the Home tab. Also after I soft reset, an error concerning the Voice command.exe doesnt work... I bet I know what's coming ... : Hard reset, well personally I find that's a huge pain in the @$$ to have to hard reset everytime something goes wrong cause I gotta reinstall everyyytthiiinggg, at least thank god for PIM backup. Don't mean to rant, but is there a possible fix OTHER then hard-reseting?

Thanks!
-Matt

EDIT: Oh look now, data doesnt even work. Is this only happening to me? (This is the second time I hard reset cause I lose data, I try to click the data slider to ON, but it brings me to settings and asks me for a bunch of ip addresses and stuff......)

Hey,

I've read the responses to this and they are correct about flashing back to the shipped rom. But this kind of leads me to the my question I asked earlier. If we had the ability to update profile, then you would not need to flash back to the shipped rom. I know if I lost data before on another rom, by updating the profile, data would return. But I tried to load the OMC_PROD cab and it didn't show up in Programs or settings. Not sure if this will work but I wanted to ask if it's possbile to have this option. thanks.

Rhodium manila is still too buggy to warrant a release. I've actually stopped the beta on my touch pro rom for this very reason.

It's great to play around with, but very frustrating in the end.

As more updates roll out, i will visit that road once more.

that's the number 1 reason why your ROMs are so enjoyed.

The ROM world needs a great balance of stability and those pushing the envelope developing cutting edge materials.

Good on ya.

4.8 tonight? Guess I won't be getting anything done in the morning at work. I'm def happy we are getting a new version - Mike works his butt off for us all to have better phones. Guess I won't bother finishing all my tweaks if I'm just going to redo them in the AM. Thanks again Mike.
