Can you or other people try a reg edit for the camera. I had the problem with it not loading the on screen options with tapping the screen, until I changed a value, after I changed it, I can now just tap the screen like before to bring up on screen options. I'm not too certain exactly if it was the change what fixed it or not but I think it was, so if someone can check, and if it doesnt work, you can just change it back.

HKCU/software/HTC/Camera/Deactivate change value to 1

then soft reset, now you should check if it fixes the problem. Now you should be able to go back change it to 0 and the on screen options still work. Well, theoretically. And if it reverts back to not working then leave it at 1. Like I said, I dont know what this does per se, but it worked on mine.

Or if you want the UI to launch when you launch the camera, go to HKLM/software/htc/camera/general, then change ShowUIAfterLaunchCamera value to 1, soft reset, then launch the camera, and the on screen options will pop up automatically.

That value was already at 1. I changed it to 0, soft reset, and nothing changed. changed it back to 1, soft reset, and no change. Still doesn't work.
And I get that stupid white outlined rectangle in the upper left corner.
Thanks for the idea though

Yeah I didnt really think it was going to do anything much, I was just messing with stuff, and thought that was it. Guess it wasnt.

Anyway did you try to the ShowUIAfterLaunchCamera reg edit? That one I know works and I am kinda diggin having the options auto pop up on launch.

yeah, what is that anyway? I don't really care because I doesn't interfere with the overall ops of my phone, just curious.

hey guys, I got the day off and was thinking of flashing 4.6. I'm on 4.5 right now, I'm wondering is it worth it to upgrade or should I wait? Mike??

From what I understand 4.6 still has a few issues. These include, RSS links not opening properly, album is not the greatest and some random freezing. Am I missing anything?

So what do you guys think?? Upgrade or wait... Mike I could really use your input on this?!

I really need to flash soon as I got some corrupt files(after playing with themes) giving me some issues that I would really like to correct. I don't want to hard reset cause I haven't setup sashimi and was planning on doing it after my next flash so I could really boil it down to what I use after installing everything the way I want it.

Thanks Mike for all the hard work on the roms ;-D. I do have a problem here I wanted to let you know about. I have a Sprint Diamond with your 4.6 rom loaded fresh with no .cabs, the touchscreen compact qwerty freezes frequently during sms, email, etc. typically for 5-10 sec @ a time. (also did this on the 4.5 release). Also my mms seems to have disappeared . Thanks in advance for any help - Josh.

Same freezing issues here on a clean "cab-less" install.
