Re: How To: Kitchens

Wow. I can't believe I waited so long to cook my own ROM. Thanks so much, tobeychris (and team)! You've really made it so easy and smooth. Also, I was pleasantly surprised to see UC built-in!

A few observations that I could use some insight on...

1. My Diamond seems to be getting abnormally hot even while idle, and
2. The data arrows seem to be consistently active. They will grey out momentarily, but they'll kick right back in... sometimes immediately, sometimes in 20-30 seconds. (In full disclosure, I am using push Exchange, but I've never seen that sort of frequent activity in the past, and it still happens when I turn off Exchange under the settings tab.)

Perhaps these two items are related? (A few other notes: very few installed programs; most recent kitchen, OEM, and SYS). Thanks in advance!

Aw hell, while I'm at it... What do Picture Enhancement and HTC Network Plugin in the latest kitchen help with?
Just download an older OEM. I replace the HTC Album OEM from the 2.02 OEM with the one from the 1.08 OEM. I'm not a PPC Expert but it sounds to me like DShow is a sort of DirectX extension for video output. Any of the experts care to correct me? As for Picture Enhancement I'm not sure what it actually does. The Network plugin allows you to browse share folders from PCs through a WiFi network.

Re: How To: Kitchens

i'm gonna try some different combinations throughout the day here if i get the time, so far no luck w/clean 2.02 and 20924 v2d or w/the OEM and SYS from the 2.7.1 kitchen with kitchen v3.0.

have yet to try 4.0
