Sorry if this is obvious but if your data is staying on all the time, change your incoming mail settings to "manual". It took me a while to figure that out. I dumped everything I had downloaded trying to shut off the data. Finally figured out to make those changes. (Now if only I could remember to download the mail manually I would be all set. LOL)

Maybe this issue doesn't belong in this thread, but its a valid issue to discuss. When I first got the phone, I would hardly use it at all and it would still be dead in 4-5 hours. Through cycling and system changes, its much better now when lightly used, but if I make a 10 minute or more call it heats way up and drains really rapidly. You're lucky, you got a good one, but don't assume the rest of us are just whiners, please.
This wasn't directed at those that are getting drastically different results then others that use the Diamond. This is directed at those that are complaining in general about the battery life.

People seem to want all the gadgets and tech but not the battery drain associated with it. When they don't get the expected battery life, suddenly they want to jump ship. If you are having a genuine battery issue that is not the norm, then I can understand but not everyone that is complaining is having a genuine issue, they are just not happy with the battery life. The funny part is, a lot of these people received the phones well after people started complaining..almost like they expected a different outcome.

Re: [10/06/08] JUICY ROM 2.4.1 [Full CE OS 5.2.20755][TELUS][Sprint]

So last night I totally discharged my battery, recharged it, and then reflashed with 2.4.1. Today I took my phone off the charger at 2pm and now at 9pm I still have 60% left. I got about 25-30 emails, a few texts and about 20 minutes on the phone.

It's definately better than it was before.

I have EVERYTHING turned off except push email every 15 minutes.

I will be out all day tomorrow, so I will be curious what kind of life I get for 12 hours.

I'm having issues getting an app to run... Juggalo suggested it was .Net, and it seems that way sofar.

I spent a while searching/looking for an answer, but searching is limited as ".net" isn't viewed as being within the minimum 4 characters.
Yea, it's messed up. I went back to 2.4(Sprint) and installed Net to the Internal storage. Works fine.

Once again this option is in the task manager preferences in the system tab of settings. Under the button tab in task manager is an option "enable quick menu on today screen". That will restore it.
Sometimes asking is easier than searching through 200+ pages. Relax man, we are all here to help eachother.

I'd like to ask this again, since several people have, but we haven't gotten an answer.

Is Juicy 2.4.1 Sprint setup for tethering already?

I just dont understand these diamond batteries! Mine is STILL AWFUL!!! I work from 9pm-6am and my battery was dead by 3:30am! I have NEVER had to charge a phone battery during my working hours. I just dont understand, and I had the original touch before this. Its ridiculous!!
