I can't reproduce that either. If I hold down the send key or if I just rotate the device it works just fine.

Re: [09/27/08] Juicy ROM 2.2 [CE OS 5.2.20755]

Dunno if this helps, but I have a sprint diamond and I flashed the 2.1 with pagepool 24. I skipped customization and installed the sprint carrier cab that was floating around. It was pretty fast and I didn't have a problem with heat or battery life. Then, when 2.2 came out, I flashed that one without changing the pagepool and again skipped customization and didn't install the sprint carrier cab this time. The phone was pretty hot and ran down the battery in 3 hours of not doing anything. So I installed the sprint carrier cab and now it seems to have gone back to what it was before. Pretty fast with no heat or battery life problems. I did, however, lose my battery bars somewhere. I'm not sure if that was just a coincidence or something, but I did the exact same things on both roms minus the sprint carrier cab.

I noticed in 2.3 that we now have beam on and off instead of flight mode. Why would we need beam on and off? I didn't think our phones had IR, or is it useful for something else?

Been answered a few times.

"Beam" doesn't just mean IR. It also means file transfers over BT. This option allows for greater control over your phone's radio communications

airplane mode is a useless setting as it goes to airplane mode immediately when you turn off all your other radio functions.

Thanks for the response on Beam, I guess I missed that in one of the 1600 posts.
I've also noticed that Opera no longer streams data in Java scripts.
I pull up google financial, and up untill this version, the stock quotes would continually update (well at least for about 5 to 10 minutes). But now they don't update at all, I have to manually do reloads.
