hold power, vol down, enter (button in the circle) and hit the reset with the stylus. then release the reset button and keep holding the other buttons.

this will drop you to boot loader mode where you can re flash.

you did unlock your phone before flashing right?

My GPS isn't picking up any satellites - i used QuickGPS to find my location but GooGle Maps isn't finding any satellites so i can't use it. Can anybody help me?

1) Open Google Maps
2) Press Menu
3) Press Options
4) Press GPS Settings
5) Select Manual
6) Select Comm 4
7) Select speed at 57600

After that onece you select Use GPS on the menu it should sync up in less than 10 seconds

yes i did unlock it.. i have tried rebooting and hard resetting and restoring to manufacturer default. but nothing happens

Another vote to add increased volume. And I also vote to keep voice command in the ROM - as I use this quite often while driving.

i dont want you to do a hard reset i want you to put it into boot-loader mode. follow the instructions i said above then re run the rom update utility and flash again.

when i do that. the only thing that pops up is the note saying the operation will delete all personal data.......

If you have already unlocked the phone, put it in bootloader mode
(Tri Colour Screen) and then flash J2.1

Hold the power button, vol down, enter button, and hit the reset button below the back, all at the same time.
