There were 3 problems;

1) I can't seem to package Adobe Flash Lite properly

2) The newer SYS files are conflicting with the 1% battery .dll

3) issues with opera

1 and 2 are unresolved.... will be fixed in 1.07

3 is fixed

I'm compiling and uploading now.

apparently the flash bundle with opera sucks anyways. its really slow, and streaming is brutal...

It's pretty sluggish. So it may not even make it into to 1.07.

I see, well can I just create a backup of the .cab files on my PC? also what do you mean "Someone will hafta dump the ROM until and if Sprint releases (or leakes :D) a software update package with a signed EXE"?

i have 1.05 already installed, if i put 1.06 in now, does that mean i have to restore whatever i restored previously again ?

Re: [09/08/08] JUICY ROM v1.06

Is there a way to allow me to modify files which are labeled "in ROM" ?

Specific example, I want to rename the Calendar.exe file in \Windows dir. But the system won't let me do it, because ROM files are somehow protected.

Juicy, do you have access to changing this? Or is is hard fixed within the WM6.1 build?

Thanks.

If I'm not wrong, 1 and 2 are things that are extra anyways, right? It's not affecting the default ROM?

I mean, if 1 and 2 interfere with the regular operations, it's a problem. If they were supposed to be some sort of add-ons on top and if they don't work, no big deal, righto?

newer sys files is like having the lates drivers and service pack.
they are preferred but not crucial to the operation of the device.

You cannot access the ROM (ROM stands for READ ONLY MEMORY) this is why its the design of the operating system. all ROM modifications have to be done prior to cooking.

Resco Explorer should allow you to do this... www.resco.net Not sure why you want to rename it though...
