I need help. I tried to unlock my HTC Touch Diamond. I followed the instructions but now it does not start. I've tried soft reseting and hard reseting and still haven't got it to work. What should I do now?

Hello everyone,

I tried to unlock my HTC touch diamond with Diamond Unlocker.exe

When the three-color screen appeared, after 2-3 sec. the monitor switched off by itself and stopped doing anything. From this time, my phone can’t open any I can’t do anything. It seems to be dead. I can’t even connect it to my pc whatever I do.

I tried to reset it by pressing Power + VolDwn + Back + Reset and other combinations, but nothing happened. I can’t connect it to mtty as well (No USB option).

Any ideas???

Thank you in advance

The reason why the unlocker does not work for you is that your carrier (Cosmote) uses GSM technology and this unlocker is designed for CDMA. This is clearly stated in the instructions (in large bold font at the top of the page).

Unfortunately, I am not aware of any methods to recover a GSM phone from this state. However, if you find a solution I suggest you head over to xda-developers. They have a lot more resources for GSM phones.

This is regarding the Microsoft My Phone back-up. Im on the last step which is to sync but its like frozen. Im not sure if i need to make more room on my main memory but even if I do i wudnt know where to. But when i stopped it, it also froze. I can still exit out by hitting home and canceling the program but it wont sync, any ideas?

Refering to .NET Framework 3.5 whats it mean to disconnect the internet? Like from the comp or just the web browser cause it gets to the end of the install and it says that and then setup error.

I tried to "upgrade" to the energy rom. Installed and now my Diamond just constantly restarts after the start up "Touch Diamond" screen. I was able to hard reset but no improvement/fix. Any help will be better than a dead phone.

Try flashing back to a shipped or stock ROM. You will have to manually invoke the bootloader to do this (see http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=62417). Once you are in bootloader (rainbow screen), you can flash a ROM through the ROM Update Utility that is packaged with most ROMs.

Love the site, loads of great info. But I have a problem I can't seem to fix:

I have tried every ROM with no success. Once I load a new ROM the phone gets stuck in the "TOUCH Diamond" start screen, after a few seconds it will restart and repeat over and over again. Odd thing is a I can easily flash back to Sprint originol ROM. Works fine with that.

FYI: I have tried to load all the different ROMs via my desktop and internally using bootloader. No success. Loader goes through to 100% and then phone locks up during the reboot. And I have been sure that the phone has gone through a hard reset each time.

Any ideas why the originol ROM only works on my Sprint Diamond, no other ROMs?? Thanks for any help.

SO why can the
