Why does it have to be a Diamond 2 ??

M Drexler MD - I am not very pleased at all . None of our great attempts at flashing 30 different versions of 6.5 didn't workout without many problems . Why can't we use the real thing ????
well because the diamond is not the next gen phone that ms wants to have 6.5

Re: How To's: Unlocking, Relocking, Flashing, Dumping and Troubleshooting

I have unlocked my Diamond tonight. The guide was perfectly helpful thanks!

Now, from what I have read here is important to keep a stock ROM for my Sprint phone handy and flash it before each ROM experimentation?
If I have just unlocked the phone today, can I just decide on a Custom ROM and go ahead and flash on top of the one it came with the phone?
Also I was reading about Hard SPL as some flash it should be in the phone to avoid bricking it?

Sorry about my thickness but I just got the phone and I'm not very happy with the way it performs with the Stock ROM ( lags, freezes here and there, dropped calls, getting warm and the battery don't last much imo..) I'm hoping that I'll find a ROM that will address these issues or at least some of them.
Also, I've read about Diamond Tweak, will that be useful?

Thanks a lot for all the info!

Re: How To's: Unlocking, Relocking, Flashing, Dumping and Troubleshooting

If you have the stock rom on the phone already just go ahead and flash the rom of your choice. And if you ever want to change your rom just flash back to the stock and then to rom of your choice. This is what i have gathered from reading through some threads on this board.

Re: How To's: Unlocking, Relocking, Flashing, Dumping and Troubleshooting

it is always godd to do a hard reset after every flash to fix any bugs that might of happened through the flashing and/or set up.

Re: How To's: Unlocking, Relocking, Flashing, Dumping and Troubleshooting

Hey Guys,

Just to make sure: Before flashing the newest ROM of my choice, and to avoid errors, should I flash first with "stock ROM" or "shipped ROM"? Which one?

Thanks

You need to make sure you are following the instructions very carefully. It Works you just need to make sure you are doing everything right. Just double check yourself because there isn't a simplier explanation than what is in the first post
