That's ok; I figured you didn't get what I was talking about. There are many variations of the flash dance, but the basic ingredient is flashing back to the stock rom. This, I believe, includes some kind of clean rom/ram to get rid of all the fragments that are possibly left over from previous flashes. Since I then have the stock rom loaded, I usually take the opportunity to update my prl. When you flash to stock, you will revert back to the stock radio. So, if you've flashed a new radio, you'll also have to do that over again. Therefore my flash dance is:

a) flash to stock
b) update prl
c) flash new radio
d) flash new rom

It takes some time, but ensures you get a fresh/clean install of whatever rom you are flashing. There are numerous instances when the flash dance has cured some peculiar occurrences. With that said, let's cross our fingers and hope that's the case for you.

Absolutely! Like you, I decided I liked 23541 best too, so what you see is based on that. 23541 continues to just seem faster and smoother than the others, I like the Leo dialer better, and I like having voice command. Believe you also asked about leaving off the TSOwen stuff on the task bar, and since I didn't hear any objections, that is gone. I'm also considering eliminating the WinMo themes, so here is a chance for anyone to voice their opinions on that. With these omissions, I've more than made up for the increased size in 2018, primarily from the inclusion of rss.

The system has been very solid the last 2 days. I'm probably going to reflash today to see if I've cleared up the 2 minor issues I had observed. If all goes well there, the 2018 roms should be up by this weekend.

Folks using co0kie and MaxSense should note that 2018 with rss will at best be transparent to them, and at worst may cause freezing or crashes until that widget is incorporated into their ui's. So be warned. I am not updating my F&F rom's to 2018 who are either using co0kie or maxycy.

O.a.T... I haven't tried the newer ones as the 2.5_2016 - 23541 version is really running well and dont want to flash to other ROM's yet. But the only issue that I am seeing here which may potentially make me try your newer version is that I can't send or receive picture messages. When someone sends me picture texts, i get nothing and when I try to send picture message, they get blank texts. Has anyone had this problem and know how to fix this?

There is a long and sordid history with Sprint/Diamond and HTC regarding picture messages (MMS). Bottom line is that the HTC Messaging Client for MMS doesn't work for our systems, and hence is not included. Therefore, I use sprint picturemail. I've attached the cab. This won't show up in the messages tab, but rather in the mail tab as a new service. Text messages (SMS) will still be sent and rec'd through the messages tab. Hope that helps.

Good news ! The latest update seems to have fixed the 2 minor problems (which I should say were self-inflicted ). Watch out for 2018 roms to show up very soon; most likely Friday or Saturday.

I used to be able to use the messaging client before and it never had problem in all my previous ROM like OMJ, Juicy ROM etc. Only in 6.1 all my picture messages used Sprint picture message. I thought this was only problem for me with this ROM. What did you mean by it wasn't included? Is there a cab other than Sprint picture mail that i can try as well?

There is arcsoft, but I don't know anything about that program. I don't remember if OMJ had the HTC Messaging Client (this is what's not included in the rom) working with that or how/if it was integrated. Maybe arcsoft + messaging classic, which is cooked into the rom? Guess you could search his thread or Juicy's for that. You can find work going on with the newest versions of HTC messaging client, that are installable via cab, on XDA by pyrorob and g-thgraf, but they also don't have mms sending and receiving for Sprint/CDMA. Again, as far as I know, no one has been able to send and receive MMS with only the HTC Messaging Client on our phones. If you do find a solution with only HTC Messaging Client I would be more than happy to include it in the roms.
