MoonscapeX's ROM is a Next-Gen ROM for CDMA HTC Diamonds.
Make sure to read the installation instructions even if you have flashed a ROM before. They are important if you want to customize the ROM.

- The most customizable ROM for HTC Diamond.  Choose what software you want in your ROM with the tap of your stylus. Only one version of the ROM will be needed.  If you want a clean, lite ROM, don't install anything.
- The ROM will include a custom XDANDROID build.  I have been working on Android for the Diamond and versions 1.6, 2.0, and now 2.1 with Sense UI are available.  Also, Ubuntu Linux for Diamond can be installed.
- The ROM has an excellent theme, consistent throughout the whole ROM.

Make sure your phone is unlocked before flashing.  ONLY compatible on CDMA phones.
1. Download the latest version.  It is an EXE installer that runs on any Windows PC.  Just run and follow the steps inside.
2. Download the Custom Installer and copy the Installer.exe to your Internal Storage on your Diamond.  After the ROM is flashed use the file browser to open the Installer.  Follow the instructions on the screen.
3. If you want Android, download the Android installer and run on your PC.  Follow the on-screen instructions.

It is highly recommended to flash a clean 1.5 version of the ROM before upgrading, however, it is not required.
1. Download the update from the bottom of this post.
2. Copy the EXE to your Internal Storage on your Diamond.
3. Run and follow the on-screen instructions.

I vote for Better Terminal, Astro, the standard 'useful' stuff...
Also, if you could make sure the kernel you provide has working ramconsole and that the eclair.user.rc has the "echo 2 >" line necessary for adb out-of-the-box, that'd be great. What lcd.density are you gonna build for?

It will require the latest rootfs & kernel for the IP / NAT modules & rules...

In general I prefer sleek and fast to over-featured. Which is why I run OMJs Sense 2.1 on WM6.5, and am planning to stick with Donut on the Diamond if I can fix some of the bugs. I presume you're going with 2.0.1 / eclair? It could still be real fast if you tweak enough. Good luck, can't wait to see what you've got coming!

PS. You may also want to confer with #htc-linux peeps to see if you can't get the /etc/ppp/pap-secrets stuff working for US cellular people, it's likely they're gonna fix that so you can set user & pass in the APN settings GUI (right now they're ignored, and people have to build that file by hand) but I dunno how soon... would be cool if that worked in your release.

PPS. I get about 4-6hrs battery life from full charge on my Diamond with no use, looking at my dmesg with pm & irq debug on it seems the vast majority of my suspend calls fail... waking up MUCH sooner than the "Wake up in ## seconds" indicates was intended. Seems to be a pretty general diam500 problem. You make any progress on that front?

I'll try to include that in the Linux build. The WinMo Part is my first priority, and will be released first. But I will definitely try to add all of that. Thanks
