ActiveSync freezes

okay one really bad thing is the messaging you have to fix it!!

What is not working about it? There are 2 different messaging apps included, one in the Sense messaging tab, and one in "Start - System - Messaging".

With the activesync issue, where is it not working?It connects to my PC fine.

I have a link to Android Donut, I will post it later today.

I found the donut version, thanks. At connect utb. I definitely prefer donut on the diamond now that I have tried it. So much smoother, same functionality. Why are they pushing for eclair so hard right now?

Ive never actually tried Donut, only eclair. Is 3D accel,camera, or gps working on Donut. They never did on eclair for me.

Looks like it has the same missing functionality, it is just smoother.

Will you be including both options on your rom, or will we decide what android to install?

You have both bluetooth and wifi, on a diam500? The versions of donut I have only have one or the other working, never both. Would love a link to one where both work... please post... thanks!

Also, I have also noticed the speed, but it is confusing. Eclair should be faster according to some benchmarks, like these:

And once they have a working JIT compiler for Dalvik, it will probably blow all previous versions* out of the water, even on old devices...

*BUT I fully intend to backport all changes to Donut and make it speedy! =)

PS, using the XDAndoir March 1st release and newer kernel & rootfs, as long as you load something 3D in Windows Mobile before booting Haret (Touchflo3D is enough BTW) you should enjoy HW 3D in Eclair. Not so sure about donut, there is a separate HW3D_DONUT flag in the defconfig that confuses me. Download Neocore from the Market and see whether you can run the demo. If you can't, you're running some outdated Eclair...

I usually set up my Gmail account through Activesync and when I open Activesync it freezes.
