Re: [03.04.10]MauryROM[DUAL BOOTING]Fastest 6.5.x|SENSE 2.5.2012 RE-UPLOADED [NEW THE

Nice work Maury, thanks.

Major issues:
- Call status screen is buggy and slow to response to tap: mute, etc. Also, the top bar status icons would randomly show up when the full status screen is showing ("Slide down for more options")
- Trying to do a 3-way, when a call is in progress: flash by pressing the Send key, hear dial tone, then tap the keypad button to show the keypad, tap in the numbers, but if there is a partial match (e.g. area code), the keypad will disappear, so I couldn't complete the dialing of the 3rd party!
- SMS compose screen has white background, but as I type, the letters are just shown as black bar that keeps growing as I type more letters. I can clear out the black bar and show the letters by flipping, but as I type again, it's back to the black bar.
- Battery life seems horrible

Medium issues:
- System font is great when big, but horrible in medium and smaller size.
- Start screen is too cluttered and hard to read with the 6-columns and smaller icons.

Minor issues:
- End key is missing from the Personal - Buttons settings
- Top status icons very hard to tell. Only the battery icon is easy. Can't even make out the EVDO icon actually says "3G", the speaker v. vibrate icon is so tiny.

I didn't test if MSDN change through ##MSL# would keep (it didn't in your previous ROM).

That's pretty much my testing so far...

I would recommend making things more legible.

The Home screen clock should be large without its' reflection. I have found the best to be the flip clock, white with black numbers.

the start screen backround adds unnecessary distraction.

This is not an android build with the kernels and the fast draining battery....the drain is more of a battery voltage, so if you want more battery lower the voltage....and how could there be a drain if its the "original" os and the phone is made for it.....

Its just that i can't seem to get why you guys say the battery is draining fast...If you know a "solution" please post it because i don't know.

thanks!

Re: [03.04.10]MauryROM[DUAL BOOTING]Fastest 6.5.x|SENSE 2.5.2012 RE-UPLOADED [NEW THE

I flashed 6_5_x_SENSE_2-5-2012_MAURYrom.7z to my Sprint Diamond about two hours ago. It looks great, and I have everything installed how I like it now. The battery does seem to drain significantly faster than with a stock ROM or OMJ's recent ROM. But perception vs. reality, who knows.

I know I can't find the setting to change the way the X button behaves, exiting programs or leaving them running, this may contribute to my battery draining more quickly.

Other than that, I'll try it for a bit and maybe flash something else soon.

I've had it on a day, and I will continue to use it for the near future, I don't like flashing willy nilly as I actually have to use the phone sometimes, and it does take a while to get it recustomized the way I like it, but thanks again Maury.

Alright, yesterday I ran for twice the time I did the day before on a battery charge. The difference, I didn't connect my Bluetooth headset. Made the same average number of phone calls, PockeTwit, etc... I don't know what but something is screwy if a Bluetooth cuts your battery performance by 50%.
