How do I get rid of the FingerKeyboard so that I may use the standard HTC keyboard? I have tried adding several different keyboards to the internal storage/sashimi/auto/cab/sc and none of them seem to do anything, i have to install the keyboards manually and once i do that if i load one up they don't display correctly or sometimes at all(tried soft/hard resets), id really like to get a different compact qwerty working if possible as I really dislike the finger keyboard.. Can you lend a hand please?

What Fearless ROM build version are trying to install the keyboards on? If it's a 6.5.5 235xx build, I'm guessing you will need the attached nueSIPdefault Cab installed and set to the specific keyboard you want, in order to make that keyboard the default. Also, if you did not know it already, with 6.5.x builds, you need to tap and hold on the keyboard icon at the bottom of the screen, in order to switch keyboards on the fly.

For 6.5 builds, I'm not sure what the best advise would be, but fr3sh_t0_d3f or someone else should be able to point you in the right direction.

I am on the 21887 version, I have installed that cab a few times now, and I receive the same problem where I can't see the keyboard, it doesn't load up correctly, the space is there for where the keyboard should be, but all I see is the text from the screen behind it if that makes any sense. Thanks for trying to help out!

For WM6.5 (21887), the nueSIPdefault cab is probably not needed, and should be uninstalled. Once uninstalled, you should wait for someone that runs 6.5 with multiple keyboards to post and point you in the right direction.

If anyone has any cabs they would like me to make compatible with my ROM as far as start menu placement and custom icon please post or pm me. I will be updating ROMs tomorrow night!

At this point I will take ANY keyboard that does compact qwerty, so anything you may have available to you. Also I have sashimi installed into the root dir of internal storage and several apps placed into the auto/cab/sc folder and they do not automatically install at all during reboot. These are the only 2 issues ive been having with this rom, but in reality the keyboard is the main concern as with a compact qwerty this will be the best rom i've had so far.

Try this one. Also The reason why sashimi isn't working for you is because that ROM your using isn't sashimi compliant. I am updating ROMs today. 21901 and 23563 which will be sashimi compliant.

Well I guess that makes sense, if I end up reflashing to the latest roms will it keep all of my settings and the like? The EzInput 1.5 as well as 2.0 and 2.2 all give me the same problem : / Do I just need to pick a diff ver of your rom?

yes if you update it will erase everything so make sure you back up what you need using pim backup. It sounds like you will need to update plus alot has changed in my ROM since the one your using.

I didn't realize I had somehow grabbed an older version of the ROM, I just updated to the latest one on the page and am trying it now.... Will update.
