Palm Replacement Sale

I have been trying to get a touch pro 2 from sprint for my broken touch pro.
Sprint keeps offering me the Palm Pre as a replacement, but i am on SERO and cannot use it. Do you think it would be possible for me to have them send me a NIB palm pre and sell it on ebay/craigslist. Then I could use the money to buy a touch pro 2. Obviously I will not be able to activiate it with my plan, so will this unactivated phone cause billing issues. Will it have a bad esn/or be unsellable if i dont activate it?

As far as I know, you should be able to sell it just fine if you don't activate it. Keep in mind, when they send you the NIB Pre, they'll expect you to send your defective TP back to them (as far as I know anyway) so you may be w/o a phone for a bit if you can't sell the Pre right away.

yeah, you have a 15 day window to sell it and get a new phone.

I've seen people mention that recently they needed to activate the phone once on their line before it could be activated by the person they sold it to. This wasn't the way it was before and don't know if these were isolated incidents, but figured you might want to know, just in case.
