Verizon Sucks...I do not want a DATA PLAN!

I was going to bite the bullet and get a droid but I was told I am ineligible for an upgrade (see other thread). Now I plan on leaving Verizon in July but I need a phone to tide me over and replace my cracked screen I760. What can I buy and activate that Verizon will not FORCE me to get an unlimited data plan (I use wifi and have a pay as you go data plan that I dont use) I know there are a plethora of regular phones that I can get, but I want a ppc. Is buying a not broken I760 my best bet?

htc xv6800 is a better phone. Can be had on ebay for around 50

I know... To each his own.
I love my data plan. Unlimited everything including mobile to mobile on ANY network and 1500 shared minutes with my wife to call land lines between 7a and 7p. Just over 100 bucks. I use my data plan. See attached.

Should you be eligible for upgrade? If so, why not have a rep fix the problem instead of running from the company? I'm here to help if you want it!!!

You work for a Verizon store Court? If so I got an old Alltel plan that isn't the data phone plan but just a National Freedom w\ unlimited data/SMS. Can I upgrade to a newer phone if I choose to that's a data phone?

absolutely love sprint data plan, especially anymobile. It's like my own little personal everything plan.

Yes sir. As long as its in your plan, our systems now allow any features to cross networks! Let me know if I can help you get your new phone.

may wanna double check their policy, if it's anything like ATT and Tmo's the only way you have to add a specific data plan when activating a new phone is if you're signing a new agreement for it. if you walk in off the street with a device they shouldn't require a data package to be added, and if that's the case, get anything you want

Hmm sounds lovely. I may see but Sprint may be cheaper yet. Thanks for letting me know. But if V gets the HD2 you will be hearing from me if Sprint doesn't.
