Why doesn't the Sprint HTC TP use a sim card

I never got that. Is there a reason for that? Probably because you can sync your contacts with the computer? Don't other carriers use a sim card?

Re: Why doesn't the Sprint HTC TP use a sim card

GSM phones use SIM cards. Verizon / Sprint, which are CDMA do not. There are some exceptions to this. For example, the Touch Pro 2 is designed as a CDMA phone for use in the US but it also has a GSM radio for use outside of the US, therefore it has a SIM card.

If you are using the Touch Pro 2 in the US (ie, CDMA radio), I don't know if you can still put contacts on the SIM card are not.

QualComm has expressed interest in designing a CDMA SIM card, but to date I think it's just interest.
