Re: Sprint Upgrade Question w/2 Lines
I'd suggest just buying a new Centro on eBay. I think you have to keep the new device on the line for something like 30 days.

Re: Sprint Upgrade Question w/2 Lines
the $150 discount instant upgrade price is automatically deducted online, the only way it is added back on to your bill is if you cancel your renewal contract on that particular line.
You should be fine as far as doing the esn swap only if the Centro phone doesn't come activated/linked to your account out of the box. If it is active on your account (as in receives/makes calls), you have to first swap out the centro phone out with the third phone that doesn't have service which I think would be your current phone. After wards you should be able to swap in the centro into your wife's account. Thus leaving her old phone inactive. The 30 day rule applies to mail-in-rebates, so if you're getting a $150 mail in rebate you have to wait, otherwise you're good. A side note, swapping back to back tends to confuse the online activation system, so it's best to wait 3-4 hours for each successful swap you do. Last edited by Rippa_MD; 09-18-2009 at 12:46 PM. |

Re: Sprint Upgrade Question w/2 Lines
and in addition to your $150 instant upgrade you might qualify for the $100 palm centro mail in rebate, but don't quote on me on that, go to www.sprintrebates.com to track the rebate.
go here http://www.nextel.com/en/promotions/...vanity:rebates and print the second link since you have Sero and wait out the 30 days. worst that can happen is no rebate, best is that you will receive another $100 via mail. |

Re: Sprint Upgrade Question w/2 Lines
So basically since I want to buy a new phone, I'd have to activate it on MY line since most of them also come with a $50-100 MIR on top of the $150 instant savings. Damn. I don't think she'd be too happy about me using her phone for 30 days...nor would I.
However, if there wasn't an MIR, I'd be ok to use the $150 instant and put it on her line? Thats what I was thinking, just wanted to check and see others thought. THANKS! |
