Ok explain this. If you do not think they are using GSM stateside.... how exactly do you expect to use a GSM phone on their network? If it isn't a dual radio phone, then the technologies are incompatible.

what would be the point of buying gsm companies if u didnt have plans of using them!! i understand they are preparing for lte but im sure they are using gsm in a few small markets!! just like i belive sprint still has gsm running in a few markets!!

I think it is fair to say at this time it cannot be done. We don't know what carrier's future plans are, but for now in the USA, Verizon / Sprint = CDMA phones only.

But we do. LTE and GSM for their 4G network. They have already stood up a test network and are completing calls / data transfer.
