Thumbs down Question about Verizon plan please read

Hello, I want to buy the Touch Pro2 with Verizon, but i need some advice. I don't know whether Verizon will let me do what I want to do because as of right now I've got a line on my mom's account to save money and none of the 5 numbers on her acct are available for a ne2 or an annual upgrade but my grandma has an account with verizon that has 3 lines available for upgrade. My question is will verizon let me resign the contract on my gmas acct and then take the phone and activate it on the number I have now on my mom's acct? One other problem that might occur is that my gmas acct is on a grandfathered alltel plan and on verizon's website it claims that it's a basic plan that wasn't the smartchoice, but I don't see how this is possible because there is still an alltel touch pro on one of the lines and when it was with alltel you had to have a smart choice plan to have this phone. And my gma hasn't changed the plans at all. But again the question is will Verizon allow me to resign the contract on one of the lines but take the phone to my mom's acct and activate it on my line while keeping insurance and not raising the bill any on my gma's acct?

Re: Question about Verizon plan please read

Just buy the phone on her plan and activate it on her plan. Then just swap the old phone back to her phone either online or *228 option 3. Then activate the TP2 on your plan.

If he wants to activate it on the alltel plan, I don't believe they will. They'll make him change over to a Verizon (more expensive) plan at that time. I've had this same problem.

I'm either stuck w/ my Alltel Touch Pro (and a grandfathered Alltel plan) and/or moving to a Verizon plan.

Re: Question about Verizon plan please read

thanks, and yeah what im worried about is it going to increase the bill on my gmas acct and will because of me signing a contract for a smart phone make her pay the 30 dollar data thing that verizon charges monthly? and when you upgrade from a alltel to verizon plan online it makes you choose new phones for every line, and the number for the alltel tp isn't up for an upgrade so i'd have to by a phone out right, it just seems to me im screwed unless i want to either pay for a data charge on my gmas acct and on my moms... iono b/c my g/f had a blackberry pearl on alltel and the plan is still a grandfathered alltel plan and she has upgraded to a storm and still on the alltel plan so I'm not sure if it will work or not..

Working on a career as a tax lawyer or accountant?

Enron could use your slight of hand skillz. Now you see the debt, now you don't!

Well, the Alltel plans generally were less expensive and packed in more features. You can understand why he'd want to keep his original/grandfathered in Alltel plan.
