Re: Sprint HTC Hero Will Require An Everything Data Plan?

Well then again, this MIR shows the HTC Hero as not requiring an Everything Plan but a $25 Data Plan or higher which I hope is the real thing.

http://www.nextel.com/assets/pdfs/en...mir_103109.pdf

ALSO, look at the news release from the Instinct/ Palm Pre and compare to what it says for the HTC Hero. Notice that both Instinct and Palm Pre both have the word Everything in there as for the HTC Hero it doesn't.

Instinct:

http://newsreleases.sprint.com/phoen...oom&ID=1124417

Quote:
Samsung Instinct requires activation on a Sprint Everything pricing plan offering unlimited data starting at just $69.99 per month.

Palm Pre:

http://newsreleases.sprint.com/phoen...oom&ID=1289761

Quote:
The Palm Pre phone will be available from Sprint on June 6 for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year service agreement on an Everything Data plan or Business Essentials with Messaging and Data plan.

HTC Hero:

I only pay $15 for my data plan so this is still not good news for me. I am still debating on the TP2 but i can't see going back to WM 6.1...

Well, if it's like how I think it is, maybe the $25 data plan is only for the MIR. Then you can go back to the $15 data plan but I'm not sure. I just don't want it to require an Everything Plan PERIOD.

My guess is that it's wishful thinking..I'd almost bet my paycheck that Sprint will require an Everything Data Plan.

I know, but we can always hope. There's so much different information, so for right now there's no way of having a right answer.

Re: Sprint HTC Hero Will Require An Everything Data Plan?

My Data is included so I should be good to go
If I choose to get the Hero, which I probably won't, at least when it first comes out.
It may be that Sprint sees that they can make more sales of these newer devices if they lift some of their plan requirements.

I don't think data pack addons will be allowed on this phone. The Everything Plan most likely will be required as from what I've been hearing. And there is no $5 data pack?. There's only the $15 data pack plus the other $10 data premier.

Re: Sprint HTC Hero Will Require An Everything Data Plan?

Sprint has data packs that range from 0-30 dollars. It all depends on which one you were lucky enough to add or if you got a rep that knows what they are doing. I have data on each of my lines and its on there for free, as a add on. Also I am not on SERO so it is possible to get it for free or at a discounted price if you know how.

Re: Sprint HTC Hero Will Require An Everything Data Plan?

Dear William,

Thank you for your reply.

I apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced due to breakdown in communication.

The HTC Hero will not work with the add on data pack available on your account. You must change the plan to enjoy the features of new HTC Hero phone as mentioned in previous email.

We value your business and appreciate the opportunity to serve you.

Sincerely,
Jaxon M.
Sprint
