Well then again, this MIR shows the HTC Hero as not requiring an Everything Plan but a $25 Data Plan or higher which I hope is the real thing.

ALSO, look at the news release from the Instinct/ Palm Pre and compare to what it says for the HTC Hero. Notice that both Instinct and Palm Pre both have the word
Everything in there as for the HTC Hero it doesn't.
