Can't decide Verizon or Sprint

I am ready to jump ship from ATT to get the TouchPro 2. I have a hard time deciding between the Verizon and Sprint Network. I have good coverage for both in Minneapolis. Sprint has cheaper plan but Verizon has the best overall coverage in Minnesota. How do the data speeds and reliability compare between the 2?

Re: Can't decide Verizon or Sprint

Sprint FTW. You can freely roam on VZW making the whole network thing pretty much a dead issue

Re: Can't decide Verizon or Sprint

Sprint cost of ownership over 2 years is cheaper than Verizon.

As Verizon and ATT lead in customer base, while Sprint is lagging.

Sprint is doing a lot more improvements than Verizon.

I would say that at the end of the day everything is about $, Sprint is a good option.

T mobile is cheaper, but their network covergae is not good.

Re: Can't decide Verizon or Sprint

Sprint has the unlimited mobile to mobile/data plans now also.. which is nice. I pay 129.99 for two phones, unlimited data 1500 plan, unlimited data/text and mobile to mobile calls (to any cel provider phones).

Re: Can't decide Verizon or Sprint

If coverage is not really a big issue, then Sprint...but if coverage means alot to you then Verizon might pay alittle more.

I would go "Coverage' 1st/"Plans" 2nd, but at the end it is what you want.

Re: Can't decide Verizon or Sprint

Sprint. It's cheaper and whenever I have a coverage issue I just force roam on verizon. Plus I believe that Sprint is more helpful. I've had some phone problems in the past and Sprint just promptly replaced them..my friends with Verizon have not had such luck getting issues resolved.

Re: Can't decide Verizon or Sprint

well that a good'ol legacy plan. unlike many other communications providors, cell companies tend to respect loyalty the most.

if you have rural area's you like to visit, ask around and find out if either is problematic there. roaming is great, but data is stuck at 1x so it depends on how much all that factors in.

if you rarely go out of the metro, I say sprint is likely your best bet. anymobil anytime and great coverage downtown thanks to fem2cell's. I belive the cities is one of sprints top area's priority wise. not sure i've ever seen a verizon AD at the dome.
