Verizon Important Numbers!

If anyone else has any important numbers at Verizon, please let me know and I'll add them to the list. Likewise, if any of the numbers are outdated and/or no longer working I'll remove them.

Verizon

Business Department:
866-294-1329

Customer Service:
800-922-0204 (Pro-tip: To skip the IVR and talk to a "live person" right away, press #00 or enter phone # then 0 then 4).

ESN Change:
866-ESN-CHNG (376-2464) (Can also be done from *228 option #3 now!)

Insurance Claims (Asurion Customer Care):
888-881-2622

Porting:
866-881-7165

Returns:
800-417-3849

Technical Support (Defective Phone Replacement):
866-406-5154

TeleSales:
800-256-4646 (1-800-2-JOIN-IN)

VerizonWireless.com Customer Service - Web Site Issues & Online Account Access:

Handset Numbers
Airtime Usage - #MIN (#646)
Balance Check - #BAL (#225)
Make Payment - #PMT (#768]
Text Message & Data Usage - #DATA (#3282)
Customer Service - *611
Over-The-Air Programming - *228 (Activation & PRL Updates)
Phone Dial Codes
*22890 (activation wholesale (auto option 1))
*22891 (PRL update (auto option 2))
*7650 (Data over voice packet flow (calls wont interrupt data sessions and will go straight to voicemail, best for tethering)
*765 (Voice over Data Packet Flow(calls will interrupt data sessions and will ring during sessions, best for when not tethering)

Voicemail - *VM (*86) or hold down 1 or call your own phone number from your mobile phone

Call forwarding:
*72 - Plus enter the phone number where you want calls to be forwarded. (e.g. *72-908-123-4567).
*73 - Deactivate call forwarding
(This uses your minutes as if you were making a call. During peak times this would count as 2 calls if you're calling an off-network number as one phone call is coming in an another phone call is forwarding out. Nights and weekends/Friends & Family, if you have an applicable plan would be free. Check with Verizon to determine if this is part of your cellular plan).

To access your voice mailbox (while roaming off-network or from any phone):
1. Dial your mobile number - don't pick up, wait for it to go into voicemail.
2. Press # to interrupt the greeting and follow the prompts to enter your password/PIN code and retrieve messages.
