Blackberry Tour on Sero

Does anyone know if I can get a blackberry Tour and put it on a SERO plan without paying for the Blackberry services? I dont really need push email, I just want to be able to browse the web and text and call and listen to music/play videos. Is this possible?

Yes. I have mine on a sero plan. Check over at sprintusers for the tour on sero thread.

Will it still work without paying for the extra Blackberry Plan?

Re: Blackberry Tour on Sero

It does and I so not pay anything extra other than the $30 plus tax. I have done it a few times with a pearl,curve and now a tour.

Re: Blackberry Tour on Sero

Go to SprintUsers like he said. You have to get Blackberry services added to your plan.

Re: Blackberry Tour on Sero

Well not exactly. You can try to switch to a voice only plan or get your service books pushed to your phone which requires no change to your sero plan.

Re: Blackberry Tour on Sero

I hijacked this from another forum and it worked for me using online chat is to get BIS for only $10 extra a month here it goes

Sprint BIS for $10. Works with SERO!!! I know some people have been having trouble adding Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) to their SERO plans. Well I was able to do this yesterday without any problems!!!! Just call and tell them to add code PDSBKBISC to your existing SERO plan.

As with every other Sprint deal if one tells you no or they can't do it..... KEEP CALLING!!!!. You will eventually get someone who knows how to do their job.

SOC = PDSBKBISC

Re: Blackberry Tour on Sero

I got the tour for my sister on Sero, you don't have to do anything. Just let them add the phone to the account and don't let them do anything else. Than, call Sprint BB tech support and tell them your missing your internet and to please send the service books. It depends on the rep, sometimes they don't know how to do it and are a waste of time, so call back until you get someone competent. Once you get the service books, everything else should work like the BB messenger etc and you still pay the same $30 charge!
