ClearTalk.net: Anyone Heard Of Or Using?

I saw a billboard today advertising ClearTalk. Has anyone heard of this carrier or more importantly, using this carrier?

I'd like your opinion on them

Service is an important factor. Seeing as they only serve the SW American area, that tells you a lot. I'd steer clear.

Also, phone support is iffy, and by my guess, they are GSM since they cant afford custom phones, so thats less quality.

no data support

they support only 9 phones, of which all are crappy BREW phones, and one of them being the RAZR v3 (that phone has to be near 6 years old,)

this is a joke

Might be a joke, not looking for data, looking for testing mainly... thinking about teenage user... Boost Mobile wasn't very good either

I appreciate your opinion, good catch seeing it's GSM, I don't like GSM

They have different price points, it seems, based upon where you sign up-- with Texas being the best (also, they ONLY offer data plans seemingly in Texas): http://www.cleartalk.net/cleartalk/Tx/plans.php

I wonder if they own their own towers?

Re: ClearTalk.net: Anyone Heard Of Or Using?

well I went and got my youngest daughter a phone from ClearTalk, she got straight A's and though I'd reward her with a phone... get a B girl and I'll yank that phone@!! I love no contracts... anyway, voice is as clear as Sprints (not a big surprise) data is as slow as Sprint (no big surprise considering Sprint is still 1x here) overall very good service... I spluged and got her unlimited Text/Voice/Data for $40.00 a month, they threw in the first month and waived activation for buying a new phone... the phone has a year warranty on it and will cover accidental damage including liquid...

By the way the company I got it from is Doing Business as ClearTalk

Isn't that a Sprint reseller?
