If you want your data and texting to work whenever they switch over the towers you will have to :-\

And they won't let you out of the contract. I've called. I've been nice, I've been mean, I've threatened, I've done everything. They won't let you out with out that ETF. Oh, I've even filed a complaint with the BBB but, verizon seems to think their piece of **** diamond is equal to what I have with alltel...

Keep moving up.
There's literally like 8+ levels of supervisors in ANY callcenter/customer service.
You can get to the first 3-4 no problem,
after that it becomes more challenging.

Don't ever be mean to the rep, it won't get you anywhere,
don't ever cuss, they can usually disconnect the call instantly,
don't threaten them, can disconnect instantly with this,
there's tons more, but I don't feel like typing them right now. hahaha.
I feel hungover and I didn't even drink anything. :scratch::scratch:wtf.

when every single post even asking for assistance, about a specific feature (for example) that's carrier specific, chime in omg go to sprint. No one asked if they wanted to switch and for the life of me I don't understand what you mean whatsover. The topic has NOTHING TO DO with choosing phone companies, its about getting a pocket pc to work. That's the issue, and I am addressing what's hindering it. Dumb? Maybe. To the OP, I understand you don't want to vzw convert, but at this point, what choice do you have? You even said your phone is not picking up alltel anything. Which means in part the merger is semi complete. My suggestion to use a vzw prl is simple

switch devices
deactivate the alltel device for some crappy vzw device and switch it back on. THat I have done and the esn was luckily added to the vzw dmd. What that would do essentially (and hopefully) transfer all info to your info to the vzw network while the system will say okay, this is a vzw device. It worked once for me...

But there is also the option of using bad illegal things forbidden to be discussed on ppcgeeks as another option. Insofar though, you don't have many options and I am seriously sorry because I've been there. But you do have SOME...just not many available...

Also what happened to another member is that they didn't activate vzw equipment for months and they were going to be charged for not activating equipment. So be very careful with that...

They think they do,
but really, unless you've worked as one,
you don't really know how to get what you want 100%.

Some of the members that have been around for a while seem to be the worst and that's why I am using VIP. Some people here just need to pull the PPC out their butt and be a little more helpful rather than throwing out insults when some new guy offers his opinion or is a little off topic.
