They got me for 2500.00. someone changed my info in aug, i notified sprint they said it would be taken care of. then in oct someone ordered 11 bluetooth headsets. i have two phones on my account and don't even have one BT headset. of course i had it set up as an autopay. i only found out about it when my bank contacted me when they cleared out my savings account to cover the charge. i finally got my money back 4 months later. they never would tell me where the BT headsets were sent to. of course im locked in and can only leave sprint if i pay them 250! I'd want to leave them but i just know they're going to be the first to have the Diamond2 when it's released in the states. damn my HTC addiction.

I said HUH!!!!!!!!!! I have my phones forever and never made a claim. Thats when the fun starts!!!!! SO anyways..... someone got my security question answer and with that they changed my PIN and with that they placed a order for 2 phones. SO now Asurion is gonna call me in 72 hours for questioning. Has anyone had this issue?

BTW.. i google it and found this over at SU and they had the same thing happen So I am not alone. EVERYONE ... look at your bills!!!!!!

exact sequence happened to me in January or February. I even called about the email saying my account was updated and the guy said oh you just get that when they do a random check on accounts etc... I was like that doesn't make any sense since the only times I've ever gotten these emails is when I made a change. So reset all my passwords and personal questions.. 6 or 8 wks later I have a $50 charge on my bill.. called in and was told it was my asurion order for replacement phone.. .yeah um NO. I had to call Assurion to get the credit back and have the "order" erased from my allotted count. Since I've never had a phone replaced I had no problem getting them to do this but yeah, this must be how they can sell these phones "new" on ebay.

I just received a cancellation notice from Assurion due to my having lost my phone three times and them replacing it. Problem is, I never lost my phone. I have contacted them and they said that it was likely fraud and they would investigate and get back to me within 72 hours. Its now been a few days and instead of calling me as promised, I received another notice of cancellation in the mail. I called them again and was told they were "investigating" and would get back to me.

I will be cancelling my insurance and will likely also cancel our account with Sprint once this is settled.

It looks like there has been a severe breach in Sprints system.

Update. I had to call Asurion since its been well over 72 hours for my phone call from their Fraud Dept. Anyways.... the agent said the reason they have not called me was because they are still looking into the whole investigation and that the fraud dept. does not give out info of cases until its done. So I said please I need this resolved so i can rest assure my Bank account wont be drained over night. Well she said to wait 2 to 3 more business days. I mentioned that theres plenty of articles on this matter if you search on google. She just sayd..."Sorry, and I hope this gets resolved"

O'boy.....this sounds like a headache waiting to happen to lots of us. If Sprint doesnt get the fraud dept on the move now its going to be bad. The way I figure is by the time the invest. is in full swing, soooo many people will have been taken for a ride it'll be to late. Inside ring to the fullest I would say. I mean come on. Who else could work the system better then sprint? People on sprints payroll...........of course.

I say once they find out who it is.................we each take a turn waterboarding them.

You better kkep and eye and be afraid.. very afraid. My PIN was complex but my security answer was easy. How would the scammer get my security answer? He called and gave it ansd with a little social engineering he managed to get the agent to reset my PIN and changed it to 555555. This must be an inside job. Anyways.. no updates as of yet. But I did go to my Spritn store and showed them my oily effect alot fo ppl are getting on their PRo They ordered a new one for me and said its due to pressure on the screen. Hmmm.. I never sat on the phone so I think they are wrong.

yup, I have abused my phones (no darren...) and my screens are just fine.
