anyone had luck transferring a sprint SERO account?

Those SERO plans are hard to come by now that they are discountinued , I started with a SERO plan and wanted to add another one but they wouldn't budge! luckily I had a friend who had two sero accounts and only needed one, got three way conversation going, she was next to me so it helps when they ask to speak to the original account owner. The first guy had no clue, hanged up, called back, it took the second rep 10-15 minutes and account was transferred.. something called "transfer of liability"

Also, almost anyone has some sort of relation to a credit union or utility co-op(whether it be personal or business) which makes almost any person eligable for 15% monthly discounts right off the bat. Not to mention there are TONS of businesses that allow individual accounts with employee discounts

u work at sprint but yet ur answer is wrong. SERO accounts have unlimited free texting and data. the account is not transferrable tho. Also these accounts were phazed out by sprint and the New Employee Pricing plans were introduced. They are more expensive but they include gps and tv. But if you call in you will not find a rep who will transfer the service for you. unless u get extremely lucky. they will kindly transfer the service but u will find that u have a regular plan

Is this true? Can you no longer transfer SERO accounts to other people? I was thinking about getting rid of mine in a couple weeks...

What's everyone's opinion on SERO and new devices?

We know the Palm Pre was not compatible with SERO, neither was the Instinct.

Do you see this trend continuing? (e.g no new TP2, Diamond 2 etc.) It seems like it may be a newer blanket policy by Sprint to discontinue the plan.

Opinions are appreciated.

So far it's only been on Sprint exclusive phones. And trust me, anyone who knows what they are doing can activate an Instinct on SERO.

The Pre has already been hacked for manual programming. Once they figure out how to *action that cannot be discussed on this forum*, we'll be able to put them on our SERO accounts.

Bit of info for anyone wanting to transfer a SERO account: When I got mine, after several calls we got them to do it by calling the *cancellations* department and saying we want to do a 'transfer of liability' on the account. YMMV, of course.

actualy he is correct the SERO did NOT come with unlimited TEXT ..you had to pay for it ..i was lucky enough to get the SERO plan while they were running and unlimited TEXT plan if i signed for 2 years ..that was about 4 years ago ...i remember having to yell at sprint couple of times had they charged me for it ...

I love my SERO plan and hope that they are not trying to phaze it out by saying that all new phones wont work with it ..if thats the case i will drop sprint all together...
