i can confirm i recently setup yournumber@messaging.sprint.com or whatever it was from directions on this site http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/email-to-sms/ and have my gmail giving me text alerts when i get emails...

is it ok if i clicked on the text to show the full message but then did not click the actual link?

i would just delete them. why take the chance?

i just checked my gmail acct, no spam in there. so this was legitimately text message spam?

yes sir! that is burnt spam. i'm not sure about anti-virus (free) for the ppc but i would check the software forum.
