I started this thread because calling customer service can be a huge hassle at best and its frustrating when you get 3 different answeres on three different calls. So if we have employees of the respective carriers on ppcgeeks identify themselves, then maybe you can verify your answeres from customer care with us. Or if you have a quick question we can help get you a reliable answer or point you in the right direction. Indirect reps welcome are welcome too.

your best bet always is to take it to a repair center first so you dont have to pay a copay. A lot of times they can fix it and if not they'll do a advanced warranty exchange with no copay.

i was at the sprint store yesterday for 2 hours and again this morning for an hour. it will not ring on her end and the call quality is very choppy. the tech says it passes whatever test they put it thru but i know this phone is broken and the tech washed his hands of it and then started talking trash to his co-workers right in front of me.

Did you try speaking with a manager? Not only now did they not resolve your issue but now they made it personal.

what really annoyed me was when i told the tech that it's a 20 minute drive to the store and didn't want to keep doing this and he did his thing. i called *2 and after telling them all about it and saying that i didn't want to dance with assurion that the lady would rather me cancel the contracts at $400 for the instinct and pro lines than send out an $80 replacement.

follow the steps in my pm and i guarentee it will work. those calls are very closely monitored. It might take 1 or two tries but i promise it will work.

I'm on the same boat as you man, but my situ is different. Since I now have problems with my keyboard, I took my phone to a repair center in Brooklyn, NY (about 10 minutes away from my girl's place by train), and I explained the problem (which has nothing to do with interference from a theme file to the keyboard's functionality) to the tech and he said we'll do our best to fix it. An hour and a half later, they tell me that I have a replacment coming to their store in 3-5 business days, and I told them my worst concern, which is not having a phone for that span, and the guy told me not to worry about it that I can hold on to my current model until the replacment comes along. That's the good news I get for playing it cool, but the problem is that I have to kiss the original model goodbye as it gets replaced with the same thing wit a perfectly functional keyboard. Looks like Imma have to take a trip back to my girl's stomping ground between Wednesday and Friday, so y'all can wish me luck on my journey. And 8820, I bid you godspeed on yours as well.

thanx blas..i hope yours goes great as well. i told them the same as you; why deprive me for 2 weeks instead of just giving me a replacement and start from scratch but they(sprint) likes to play games sometimes. the op(race) is one of the good ones.

Will do, and I usually don't have a hard time with any reps no matter where I'm at, but I'll keep y'all posted between those business days. I shall call them before I come to make sure that it got there, because I know UPS is pretty good. And I told the rep who gave me the word that I have some tweaks for his Pro as well as a few other "dirty little secrets" that'll make him and some of the others s**t their pants. That's usually the reward that makes a few friends in the process.

There's no Sprint repair store here, now what? (Abilene Texas) Shoot I don't think any of the stores here are "Sprint" they are third party contractors, I believe.

Hey Race I have a XV6800 for verizon and I use the stylus it came with, believe it or not the stylus is scratching the screen, i have like 4 minor ones cant see them when the phone is on only off, but it bugs me, so would assurion fix it like if I payed the fine i think its 50 bucks, or do you were I can get a new screen which ever is cheaper and less hassel. I have heard that you can get touch flow on my device but idk how, do you of were and a link? Thanxs a lot, would be of a lot of help

technically asurion wouldnt replace ur phone because of the scratches cuz its only a cosmetic damage, but a repair store might be able to slap a new top on it, its not hard to do, just a matter of if the tech follows policy or is nice enough to do it neway.

well, my wife got the survey call and she put all 1s so sprint has been in contact with her everyday since monday. i haven't had to pull "that" out yet. but i'll keep you posted.

Chappy actualy made a realy good point. you can't let them push you around because if they can get you out of the store they will. sprint is one big nagotiation session. esrp repair is the best solution for this. keep us updated buddy
