Re: Sprint Verizon At&t empoyees
i am at my wits end with Sprint right now. im on my 3rd mogul and i told them that i no longer want their crappy defective refurb moguls. on top of that, i returned my 1st replacement mogul back 2 months ago and a $200 charge is showing on my account as device not returned.
ive spoke with countless reps in trying to get an upgrade to the Touch Pro and willing to pay the $55 deductible, but Sprint wont budge. actually, ive been able to speak with 2 reps (1 in tech support and 1 in account services) and they AGREED to swap my mogul for a Touch Pro. the tech support guy had to transfer me to another dept because he didnt have access to the warehouse list and this next rep denied me. the account services person said they would send out my Touch Pro once it was back in stock in 2 weeks. i specifically asked if a Touch Pro would be sent out and they said yes. 2 weeks later, a mogul shows up at my freakin doorstep. i am so incredibly pi$$ed at the level of service i have been getting lately and one time was actually transferred to the Colorado Department of Corrections! how the heck does that happen??!! can a kind hearted sprint rep please help me out? thanks in advance! |
Re: Sprint Verizon At&t empoyees
I have a tough one for the Sprint reps. My family has 3 different accounts with sprint; two SERO 500 and one normal account shared over 2 lines for a total of 4 lines. We are contemplating all hopping onto a single Everything Data family plan. However, none of us are totally out of contract yet. One SERO and the shared plan are out of contract in October while the other SERO still has a year left. If I gave a call to Account Services, what are the chances that they will let us to combine all our lines into the new family plan, even though we aren't finished with our contracts? I figure they might be willing, since it would eliminate the two SERO accounts. Also, if we are successful at getting our lines combined, will we all be eligible for handset upgrades when we sign our new contract? I appreciate the help, Sprint gurus!

Re: Sprint Verizon At&t empoyees
you can change your plan at anytime so i wouldnt worry about it. just make sure you tell them to post date the plan change so you get prorated

Re: Sprint Verizon At&t empoyees
sprint charges you a month in advance. It means you wont start your new plan until the billing cycle date that way you dont have a bill and a half. Its almost like a cable bill.

Re: Sprint Verizon At&t empoyees
ok question for the sprint guys,
my touch pro keeps loosing data have to go into ##data# to change active profile from 0 to 1 to get it to work. Now could this be becuase a custom rom? or is this a common issue, I've had it do it even when it was back to the oem rom, i thinks its happened about 5 times in last 2 weeks, the wife's tp hasnt had an issue at all. Dave |
Re: Sprint Verizon At&t empoyees
dave, what rom are you using because you might want to ask in that forum. if you hard reset or back to stock and this was happening, i'd say you had a bad tp. sounds like you have a bug with the rom.
|
Re: Sprint Verizon At&t empoyees
ive had it happen with several roms, and i did have it do it once on the stock oem rom, ive never had the issue with the wifes tp which was the rom i was running today and it happened on.

You should try taking the battery out for a few minutes and then put it back on. If this does not work, then do the profile update (Start --> Settings --> System --> Profile Update) If the update fails, try doing a hard reset. P.S. - Since you are using a custom rom, you should make sure you use a rom that did not remove the profile update tool. The reason for this is that anytime I had to install the profile update tool on a custom rom, the profile update failed. However, when I used a custom rom that already had the tool, it succeeded. If all is failed, then call sprint so they update your profile manually for you. Another thing users have reported is that they were experiencing this problem because they had not paid their bill. It disappeared once they did. You might want to look into that. |
Re: Sprint Verizon At&t empoyees
I have another question for the Sprint guys. My family is considering consolidating all our separate accounts into a new shared plan. Would it be wise to change all our billing dates to the same day ahead of time, to avoid issues with having to prorate each of the accounts separately?

I have a question for any knowledgeable, with saying that this is geared towards some Sprint people. Is there any way to get rid of all EPST settings? I have a problem where my processes are getting hijacked by Sprint sending modified .dll's through my phone line. It used to be through my EVDO line but when I blocked that, they then started using a remote call Procedure, with very minimal resources, so as to fit seemlessly with in the plethora of OS boot up processes. I also am in the process of legal procedings because this constitutes a violation of Privacy on so many levels (I will not get into specifics). I have some comrades who have given me some network monitoring programs, and other such programs we have compiled them on an external HD and are trying to intelligibly assemble all of the evidence. It's an arduous process! Nonetheless I need help. In order to institute some more advanced hidden abilities, I need to erase the settings on my phone, or close the gateway that allows Sprint to send modified .dlls that hijack my processes. I have a few Ideas but If any of the legends can help this would be a monumental achievement to disclosing the methods involved by ISP's in their throttling attempts. To be honest I have'nt even exceeded my allotted bandwith and this is occurring! I can't wait to have my day in court! |

I was able to get a "home made" program from a friend in the Yonkers that monitors all the instruction executed on the device. I'll be in the process of using the phone and a lot of instruction gets executed in the rom directory at boot up or in the event I wan't to acces data services or some specific program that would lend too much leway in curbing data acces or getting acces to info giving me a leg in the fight. It' actually got worse at this point because extra instruction from Sprint, when my phone, not EVDO services are on, the instruction and additions runs up my KB count more than my using it (because drastic increases are made on my KB count even though I knock out data and stop all EVDO use for a few days). I'm not even mentioning TF3D and other processes on the device that run slow as hell or sometimes don't run when I access them because of all these additions that are made that don't harmonize with the Touch Pro. They just clogg up the fluid movement of well made, well tested ROMs, that have before this craziness worked beautifully. Lastly lets say you could not monitor the instruction execution on your device, when processes you have running on your Touch Pro mysteriously close after you have run up over 5GB on your Sprint services for one month only, and then you use the wifi and processes on your wifi connection close out when you do searches on how to bypass the blocks Sprint places, you know two things. If you are doing regular browsing and this does not happen, then you know sprint can monitor off network activity on your device. The second thing you watch is how your processes close. If applications close in the same way they did while on the Sprint Network, or you are no longer able to do things that once before you were, you've zeroed in on the Culprit. There is a light at the end of this horrific breach of privacy. I was told by legal counsel to think about what I am about to do before I were to persue the lawsuit. I was told to give it about two months and still compile the network activity and not to go over the 5GBs. If the activity escalates then I should re-evaluate my decisions at that time. So anyone on the SPCS network beware, but at the same time know someone is going to fight this with awsome legal help that played the devil's advocate as well to see how my case stood up. I still would like any help or input on experiences. I may open up a thread that no doubt will turn heads. I wan't to see the full extent of where Sprint goes next, first. |
Re: Sprint Verizon At&t empoyees
My wife wanted an Instinct (I know, I know) so anyway I found one on Craigslist and called Sprint to verify the ESN and make sure I could activate the phone. I was told no problem. So I bought the phone. When I got home to activate it Sprint says "nope, you need an everything plan" ..now my wife's line has an unlimited data plan but I guess that's not enough. Is there anything I can do? I feel that Sprint misled me to buy the phone knowing full well when I activted it I would be forced to drop my great plan and get a more expensive one that has the same services.

Sometimes, I will be using the same setup, and I notice that EVDO drops to 1x. I check taskmanager, and sure enough that "ActiveStync", is running. I have tried that workaround (create a dummy Server Source), No Luck. I don't even use Exchange Server. Don't know if this helps, but it might be related?:???: |
Re: Sprint Verizon At&t empoyees
I have a question to the carrier employees:
How did you go about getting hired? Here's what I've done so far: I walked into a Sprint store. They told me to apply online. I found and set up the hiring related info. Got emails with job openings. Applied, did every step. Looked good. But nothing ever came of it. Ever. I looked online with the other major carriers after not being successful to land a job with sprint. They don't even show my city in their job search criteria (Lawton, OK). Is there a better way for me to go about it? I'm interested in either a sales or cs position, tier1 tech maybe. Your input is absolutely appreciated!!! |
Re: Sprint Verizon At&t empoyees
well i just got fired. you can have my spot lol. Did you take the online personality test?

Re: Sprint Verizon At&t empoyees
im not sure then.do u plan on making a career of it? I didnt so i went the indirect route. theres not much room for advancement but they pay a lot more per contract. the going rate is $50 per new contract and 15 per upgrade. If you go that route make sure you do your research on the company first. make sure thier a reputable company and also you want an inline store thats exclusive to sprint. Most people dont know the difference from a corp. store.

Re: Sprint Verizon At&t empoyees
I was getting roughly 14-16 hours with mild usage out of my Diamond.
I brought it in to my local Sprint store because of the oily mark in the middle of the screen, and they said they would fix it, 30 minutes later they had completely broke it and told me I was getting a replacement overnighted. They sent me a refurb which at first looked good, but then I noticed some kind of glue on the edge of the screen that had oozed out and dried, and after putting my fully charged battery in it, I unlocked and flash my ROM. I got 4 hours before it was down to 20% making no calls, and maybe 10 texts. WiFi off, Bluetooth off, and the only data I used was a dashwire restore. I figured it must be the ROM, so I flashed back to shipped and still 4 hours after a full charge, 1 bar on the battery meter wth NO usage other than Dashwire for 5 minutes. No programs running. Just sitting there. It has the same radio as my old one and has a good signal.](*,) Makes me want to go into the Sprint store and demand a new, not refurbished phone. Anybody know why the battery would drain so fast? I gonna be up ****s creek at work Monday. |
Re: Sprint Verizon At&t empoyees
did u set dashwire to update automaticly or manually?
|
Re: Sprint Verizon At&t empoyees
Manual

Re: Sprint Verizon At&t empoyees
Interesting... Would this upset your employers if they realized what you, as members of this site, engage in?
