Changes to TEP Heads up
Just received a letter from Asurion today that they are making some changes to their policies and deductibles.
What they are adding.(Improvements as they claim) 1. Free Express delivery on replacement devices. 2. Extended customer service hours. 3. Ability to open or track your claim on www.phoneclaim.com/sprint. 4. Email notification of your claim shipment status. In addition some of the Non-refundable deductibles will be rated a tier 2 device/$100 on some advance wireless devices effective April 19, 2009 at 12:01 AM. Most phones will still be a tier 1/$50 deductible though. See your device at www.sprint.com/TEP, or by calling Asurion customer care. TEP monthly charges stay the same. Important Important. Payment of the monthly charges for your first billing cycle on or after April 19, 2009, will serve as confirmation that you accept the changes and with to continue your enrollment in the TEP program. If you wish to cancel then call Asurion customer care. Approved claims with a date of loss prior to April 19, 2009 will be charged a tier 1 deductible regardless of the phone model. Approved claims with a date of loss on or after April 19,2009 will be charged according to the tier table below. Basically this means that all of us on here will be tier 2. Most the devices listed as tier 2 were PDA's. Some devices may be moved to a tier 1 during their lifecycle. Not sure of your which tier your devices belong in. Call them. Pm me if you need the numbers.( There's 2, one says customer care and other just says Asurion.) Heads up people. Please hit the little green button if this helped. Thanks for the space. Re: Changes to TEP Heads up
I got my booklet too. My replacement fee doubled to $100. Yay! So far I've been lucky and have never had to have a replacement (crosses fingers).

Re: Changes to TEP Heads up
Yup: got the letter. $100 to replace my old Apache. Plus $7/month. It's only worth it if they replace it with something newer, like maybe a Touch Pro.....

Re: Changes to TEP Heads up
Not according to the pamphlet. Same old steps to go through especially if your phone was lost/stolen after 4/19/09. I'm not aware of any other way of replacing without paying the deductible. Please let me know if there is one though.
