Switching from Verizon to Sprint: Question

As the title says, I'm thinking about switching providers. I'm not really impressed with any of Sprint's phones except for a few that I don't have the money for.

Anyway, I was wondering if cancel my account with Verizon, can I activate my XV6700 on the Sprint network? And on the software end is it as simple as changing the carrier to "Sprint" in BuildOS and re-flashing?

Re: Switching from Verizon to Sprint: Question

The hardest part is getting Sprint to accept and add VZW ESN into their database from what I hear.

Yes, I think some people have managed to cross over. But they do give you a hard time. Please add your carrier and device in your profile too so we can better help you out.

Re: Switching from Verizon to Sprint: Question

Just an FYI Matt, you will be mighty upset with the low signal... But if money is an issue, Sprint would be the better route.

Yup. Not only has it been proven to have a lower strength, and sometimes no service, I have heard there are some horbile CS reps.
