Even though I got my phone from BB.

If you want somthing done "talk to retentions"
did you already file the claim? could i go into the local sprint store to request for a replacement through TEP?

Re: Difference between Bestbuy purchase and direct Sprint purchase

Ok here's the deal- Best Buy does not Buy the phones from sprint any more than they buy a tv from dishnetwork. The phones are bought from the manufactures. Now bb is resnsible for that sale and any issues with the phone for up to 90 days- this can vary store to store some are only 30 days. Your tep is paid each month to sprint not bb so it's sprint who handles those claims but by definition TEP only take
effect after 90 days before that it's bb job to exchange it. Anybody else wouldn't be able to do it without taking a loss of the product (except retention- Because they don't care if it costs them anything)So TEP still works but notfor 90 days. And retention is the only ones who will bend on this bb thing. FYI it's the same for RadioShack but wit
rs there's almost always one close

Re: Difference between Bestbuy purchase and direct Sprint purchase

One thing I can tell you for sure is.... The phone could be replaced at a corporate store through TEP after 30 days. Thats why the TEP is there. Scratched chrome(at the corporate store level) "WILL NOT" get it replaced under TEP. I do exchanges on various phones every day!!! I don't know a thing about a 90 day with BB. Never heard of it. I will admit that I'm not versed on all the 3rd party return/exchange policies as they are always different from ours.

What mister wrong is saying about retention does happen, I've wittnessed it.

Re: Difference between Bestbuy purchase and direct Sprint purchase

I recently exchanged my Centro for a Touch Pro. I went to Best Buy first and they said I was only allowed one exchange. I called Sprint and they said (rightly) that this was between me and Best Buy. I called Best Buy customer service and they said that that was wrong. The next day I went to Best Buy. So, yeah, you need to deal with Best Buy.
