Does Asurion warranty transfer with the phone?

I just bought a XV6800 off ebay from someone that claimed it was brand new which later I found out that it was an Asurion replacement!

Seller claims that he/she has warranty card and it should be good until November. I'm curious about that cause it's not a manufacturer's warranty so how would it transfer to a new owner? Isn't Asurion a subscription service?

i paid $237 shipped which is pretty close to $250 brand new. How much should I pay for an Asurion refurb phone especially if it works out that I may not receive the warranty with it?

Asurion doesn't offer a warranty, at least not to my knowledge. They offer insurance, which won't transfer with the phone.

Insurance does transfer, also make sure you leave a feedback about that its ben a big problem on eBay, I ordered a PS3 that was the same way.

Insurance will not transfer with the phone. You can get insurance on it but you'll have to pay for it. When someone says that a warranty or insurance is transferred it implys that the original purchaser has bought the plan and then transfer to you with you receive the benefits of the coverage without paying for it. That is definitely not what happens. But if you wanted to be absolutely sure you could call asurion and ask them.

OK allow me to clarify I wasn't clear if you have insurance then it will carry over to your new phone...that's what I meant but if you have manufacture problems you can go to your local Sprint store and they will most likely swap it out no question and no charge. I have bought a few phones from eBay used them till I broke something "on accident seriously" then swapped it.

i am on verizon and i think they only offer warranty/store swap if you purchased the phone from them.

i just don't know what this warranty card is that asurion has i will call them thanks

are you sure its not the one year manufacturers warranty thats included with a new phone?

i don't know if i would even qualify for someone else's one year according to verizon's warranty policies.

but yes the seller said it was a replacement through asurion
