Yes they have some cash but their debt DWARFS their cash. And with the credit environment, they are going to find it hard to finance that debt.

One question that no one seems to have an answer for.

If Sprint has the best plans how come they keep on losing customers? And it can't be ALL based on customer service.

Because people are stupid? Customer service sucks across the industry, and in fact, across almost all industries, it's a lost art. People either buy into "it's the network" or they want the an iPhone.

Well I agree with most of what you have said but the stupid part. i think it's more-so the effects of good marketing and products that are idiot proof out of the box. Look at sprint's lineup and lines of marketing. I would lay the blame for a lot of the easy marketing sway there first.... actually after the hit or miss customer service.

i agree completely.all the ads are about the plans and the samsung rant.the rant?!i don't think sprint advertised one wm phone.i got the treo 700wx after reading about it on palms' website.

This has probably been covered in other threads but it does relate to this thread. Sprint will be the exclusive carrier for the new Palm Pre. Not sure how long it will last...

But this is perhaps the only good news story for Sprint in a long time. Time will tell if this will elevate either company back into the black but initial reviews from CES seem generally positive.
