Yeah thats what i said. I would of been gone long ago....eft or not.

@Dr.8820 & @fixxxer2008 it's all been a matter of the slow ass shipping. First I bought my HD7 that didn't arrive till Saturday last week then I went to WalMart looking for a T-mobile SIM and mistakenly purchased a family mobile SIM kit (thankfully I was able to return that). Then on Monday I went to a Tmo store after school looking for one and no such luck there either, after that I went to amazon and ordered the right SIM so today it should be here and after the dan@sprint rep calls me I'm putting it in and porting my number over. enough is enough

edit: have you tested speeds lately? I noticed it earlier this week and just tested it just now. From mobilespeedtest site I'm getting in the 450kbps to 500kbps range that's about a 100-200kbps more than I was getting last month. Not sure what changed but if the speeds are slowly improving then that's good

@eyeb well if they waive the etf on my contract the ESN shouldn't go bad I don't think. I test speeds all the time, always averaging 150kbps.

@Dr.8820 I have it activated now. Sprint is lucky that there wasn't an option to port the number on the prepay sign up page. The usual person called me today and he said that he hasn't heard from the network team yet (even tho I did yesterday) so he wants to wait before waiving my ETF. He's calling back Wednesday so until then I'll have 2 phones. I'm lovin this T-mobile service so far, even with a low signal in my house I'm still pulling down 1500kbps which is 10x faster than sprint currently.

Why couldnt you port your number? Sprints pulling your leg now. I guess you have no choice but to cancel now.

@fixxxer2008 he said it was because he hasn't yet heard from the network team. On Wednesday if it's the same bs then I'm porting it out so for now I have 2 phones.

@Dr.8820
my room is in a tough spot when it comes to 3G. If I lay a certain way I can get it and if not then it's just 2G. Either way I'm still faster than I ever was with sprint.

@Dr.8820 I got the notification but I can't install it because my home internet is down due to this economy. Probably will install it at a friends house tomorrow.

eric now you're tempting me to switch lol

just saw the dell venue pro and i like that a lot, the slide keyboard and large screen... just not too sure how thick it is :S might have to stop by a store to play with it lol

@eyeb
I wouldn't go for it, there's issues with the compass and they haven't even released the tethering update yet. there's also the radar which is 4G but I don't think there will be much of a difference in the speed. Seems that speeds in my city are capped at 7140kbps

i just want a physical keyboard :( lol

And i like the idea of the slide down keyboard, not horizontal slide because I like how it is at bottom, like blackberry/palms used too

edit: and the phone does looke nice lol even with the bad reviews of it, now im off to find one with good reviews with a keyboard like that

@Dr.8820 yea I would probably use it to tether my Xbox, maybe my arrive and old tp2 as well,those are my only WiFi devices.

why do you need to talk to sprint about the port out? tmo doesnt handle all that on the back end?

@austin420 they do but I'm waiting for this last Dan@sprint.com call on Wednesday. No matter the outcome of this call I'm porting out my number.

hm i might have changed my mind about switching now :S

While playing with android on tp2, I did a speed test and now I'm getting above 1mb downloads... Don't know if sprint really is improving coverage but for time being I'll stay with my sero, even though tmobile's $30 prepaid is same price, I don't want to move 3 phone lines over

You said that before too though. I know you dont want to pay the eft but you may have no choice now. Also since you didnt pay your bill how are you going to sell the arrive? I assume it will have a bad esn.

Yes tmobile handles it. It sounds like eric is stalling because funds are tight. As i said id just make payments on his eft, it cant be that much.

well if I call customer finance and explain y I didn't pay (because of this situation) hopefully they'll understand. And its not because funds are tight its because I'd rather not pay it. But Wednesday is their last chance.

still think you could switch phone on line to something else so arrive's esn doesn't go bad, you can then sell it for some funds for tmobile, i know you said fund isnt issue but hey everyone can use extra money lol

hm with all this talk about the $30 plan... I almost got tempted to the hd7 also lol but now I'm having second thoughts, since I saw the htc titan which I like more but it's on att. I'll wait till it gets unlocked to tmobile or tmobile gets a similar phone :S

While I like the hd7 by looks, I kind of want the larger battery/screen of titan :D
Or the nokia WP7 phones might be worth the wait, I saw the videos of their N9 and it looks impressive. I even like how their screen is smaller :S Well if I can't get big, I'll go for something that fits in hand lol

@fixxxer2008 it can but there wouldn't be any 3G/4G.

Anyway have another update. Getting really sick of this bullshit he told me that he still has not heard back from the network team and that he will call me back on Monday, my number will be ported out by then. I'm going to call T-mobile and do it as soon as I'm done listening to music.

Long overdue but its time to say screw em and ger er done!

Id put a older phone on the sprint line before canceling. That way you can sell your arrive and not worry about a bad esn. At this point sprint is dicking you around eric.
