@fixxxer2008 nope because of all the data I used since April even tho most of it was overnight and when I was out of town. T-mobile is great, no dead zones during my commute anymore when listening to music however when I'm in my room my connection will sometimes drop to 2G just like what my arrive used to do (drop to 1x) but even when I'm in 2G my speeds are still faster than sprint.

How much is the eft?

@fixxxer2008 heres the whole email:

Thank you for contacting Dan@sprint.com. I appreciate you taking the
time to speak with me today. As discussed on our call, the network team
is currently scheduled to update 2 towers in your area in January 2012.
This update would address the data speed concerns in your area.

You also inquired about the early termination fee on your phone.
224-###-####. I reviewed the account and your current data usage from
May 2011 Sprint bill to your current bill cycle ending on 12/12/2011,
the usage has increased during this period. Due to the increased use on
the data, the $190 plus tax early termination fee on your Sprint account
would remain valid. The early termination fee would post on your
12/16/2011 Sprint bill.

Wrote this back to dan@sprint.com earlier this afternoon will update this thread with the outcome.

"I'm sorry but after thinking it over i believe that i should not have to pay the ETF over all the data I tried to use and used at certain times of the day i shouldn't have had to wait to use and in different locations i should not have had to goto. Especially since i had to pay full price on almost all of my bills during this period and considering that I'm an unemployed college student. In addition, there are also only voice upgrades scheduled for the towers in my area according to network.sprint.com. The fact that i still have to pay and didn't really get any credits is corporate greed at its finest. Expecting us to pay your debts to apple for the iPhone is wrong. Hopefully i won't have to file complaints with the FCC and BBB over this."

I think you went a little harsh at the end, expect an etf.
Maybe saying "with the slow data speeds, and the constant roaming since the reduced tower coverage, has caused me to roam where I hadn't before" would have gotten you further!

@gullzway that would've worked if my account showed some roaming data being used. With that being said I should reactivate my account with my TP2, put it in force roam mode, tether it to my PC or Xbox and make it download a large file.

the one good/bad thing is that since im a business customer with sprint, my etf never changes. thats a plus and a negative. the up to 350 dollar thing doesnt apply to my lines. they are all 200 even at the start of the contract even for smart phones, but dont reduce over time.

may not have to pay it, yesterday when I was unable to answer my phone he called back and said that he can understand that concern in a voicemail. Just waiting for the call again for the actual outcome.
