well, here is what I bargained:
initially they wanted to give me just another $50 so i said screw it, I am out there,
then then oldest trick, "let me get my manager" lol

anyways, the guy was nice, he told me that they do not do monhtly discounts, but we can get me off the hook for 2 monthly paymnets totaling about $130 or so, so after all discounts, I got a new EVO for about $70.
I think it was a nice deal

That was a good deal. But about the whole ten dollar bit, you could switch to Verizon and pay 30 dollars for data. I don't think 10 bucks is bad at all considering how much data we use especially when tethering.

I checked with verizon and it is a bit expensive for my pockets. Additionally, I get a 15% employee discount with sprint and I heard that 4G is coming to New Orleans really soon (3 months or so). After all this, I am somewhat happy with sprint, good coverage, decent speeds and decent service.
The EVO was the deal maker for me, honestly.
