Re: Sprint "Airave" signal booster question

im curious about these - as we use 1 for work in the basement of commerical building with no windows anywhere around - there is no way to get a GPS lock where it is at.. we are going to run it up and outside to get the gps lock but the only way to get it back is to unhook the network cord - if I do this - will it clear the gps data and force another gps lock to setup? if so - we are royally screwed.

I think unplugging the power cord is what will reset it and require it to force a gps setup. so you might be able to use a long extension cord to get the gps signal, but you'd have to leave that cord plugged in when you bring it back down to the basement.

Is the GPS extension cable not long enough to extend to an area that gets a signal?

Re: Sprint "Airave" signal booster question

Just wanted to share something about the Airvana, I just got mine yesterday. My EVO didnt want to connect to it (was able to get phone calls but calls out got dead air and robotic noises). Sprint care told me I would have to do a full hard reset to fix it. As I sat there with dread writing down all the apps I had on my phone, I decided to try just doing a ##rtn# to fix this issue. Upon doing that and after my phone had finished provisioning, I saw that ALL apps, texts, the call log, and any other settings I had were still there. So, I just wanted to share that from my experience, doing a hard reset isnt necessary just do a ##rtn# let that load, hit menu and reset enter your msl and let it go from there. Fixed any issue I had with my EVO. I would assume this would work for any other android phone.
