Re: Class Action Lawsuit Against Sprint for the 10$ Fee!
I understand where everyone is coming from, each of us have our writes to our opinions. To me the $10 charge is alright..since Sprint is nearly the cheapiest carrier out there...and gives you the most for the $$$, saying that...I only wish Sprint would have thought this through a little bit better. What they should have done is wait to add the $10 charge...atleast until the 4G network is vastly improved...(faster and more reliable). To throw the $10 charge right of the get go with a brand new 4G network..meh...could have done better Sprint.

Re: Class Action Lawsuit Against Sprint for the 10$ Fee!
The way i see it is that its just a different take on tiered data plans. rather than being like AT&T and offering you a max of 2GB for a higher price than what you pay on Sprint. They price the unlimited plans based on the phone you have. I think we can all agree that sprint has done an awful job of explaining the fee. And While I would (obviously) be much happier with an extra $10 in my pocket each month, I still believe the pricing is fair for this phone. 4G or not.

Re: Class Action Lawsuit Against Sprint for the 10$ Fee!
I don't see why sprint just doesn't do it this way.
I guess this is where Sprint screwed up. They call it "premium data" while they should just call it what it really is. A 4G charge. Like other people said, they are not being clear about what you are being charged for, even if you agreed to pay for it Imagine someone who might have signed up for this "premium data" and later found out that it is different than what they were told/thought it was, and now feel cheated. That is the whole point of this discussion.

To me the EVO seems to have targeted disgruntled iPhone users who may perceive ATT to be "slow." Commercials airing today continue to fuel the EVO vs iPhone thing. The Epic, besides the keyboard of course, was the only of several Galaxy devices to have a 4G radio. So with this full embrace of the fastest of the fastest, it may be unacceptable to have an Epic 4G running on the old tired EVDO Rev.A being compared to the same device on Verizon and others. The planning and execution were both horrible in my opinion. Let's not forget that we're talking about a company that traded at $75 in 2000 and eventually at $10 before the recent economic downturn. I also recall the Sprint/Nextel merger being touted as the worst merger of the decade (old leadership). |

Re: Class Action Lawsuit Against Sprint for the 10$ Fee!
Just to kick this out there .... even with the 10 beans for the premium data or 4G fee, I still pay less than any of the other carriers can even come close to. !
I will gladly pay a 120.00 beans a year to get a more advanced network capable of keeping up with our demands for data. I have seen Sprint make some serious strides to improve their customer service and customer satisfaction. This fact by itself would be enough for me to recognize a reason to pay 10.00 beans for a premium / 4G fee. Is it really worth the time and effort to sue Sprint for this ... who do you think will suffer the most from a legal battle ?? ALL OF US AS SPRINT CUSTOMERS !! |
