Re: Walmart drops the ball on cell phone order
I think your pushing it..you can't really blame them if you feel like going around the system...other 3rd parties like Wirefly for example force you to either get the data plan included or buy it for 30$ a month..considering the deal walmart is giving you..I can't exactly see a reason to complain :/

Re: Walmart drops the ball on cell phone order
how am I going around the system?? I merely wanna add the device to share minutes, and add a Data Pack not a Data Plan...
Ive talked to Sprint at length, and it seems its the old "cant add ANY android devices without a Data Plan.. Data Packs are not allowed to be added to android phones"... I dont really see a way around this.. If I was buying the device outright, no contract price, I may be able to activate via Sprint Online... But since I dont have an Everything Data Share Plan, and Im not willing to just add the 69.99/month price for the phone as a fifth but standalone line... it seems I dont have any options... I may give in and just change my plan around, but Im definitely losing: I have 3 lines w/ FREE data - thats $540 a year im saving on Data.. I have 1 line w/ $8 data - thats another $96 a year im saving on Data.. its tough to wanna give that up... Im working out all the Math now..Everything Data Shared 1500 for 5lines - 27% corp discount + insurance VS Everything Messaging Shared 1500 + flat out adding 69.99 plan for line 5 - 27% corp discount + insurance + discounted data packs.. Ill see what I come up with...either way its not gonna be pretty.... Im not trying to go around anything... its beyond stupid that ANY and ALL Android devices require this though... Re: Walmart drops the ball on cell phone order
While I do agree that what they came up is silly from our perspective..but from sprint's perspective anything they make money off is justified...
That said how is getting Everything messaging plans and adding data for free not going around the system? looks like going around to me..I'm not saying your in th wrong..whatever works...but in this case when walmart/sprint denied to do it you can't exactly blame them either... Right now though you dont get discount on lines do you? |

Re: Walmart drops the ball on cell phone order
whats the difference?? I offered to add an unlimited data plan to the device line.. whats it matter if its FREE, $8, or $15?? its still unlimited data on said device
..and i have the 27% off corp discount and 20/24... in the end the prices are identical current plan - $99.99 + 9.99 +9.99 + 69.99(new line) equal 189.97 data evrthng- 129.99 + 19.99 + 19.99 + 19.99 equal 189.97 so theres no room to negotiate anything.. its all equal.. i just went for changing to Data Shared Plan... gave me any mobile anytime which isnt even needed since i dont use all my minutes anyways, but ill take it I suppose |

Re: Walmart drops the ball on cell phone order
i couldnt even get the device shipped to me... by Sprint nor Walmart... both activate the new number before shipping, even though the device isnt "live" till hands free activation runs.. but because of the ANdroid/Data Plan "rule", both refused to even send me the device if I wasnt going to A) add the line flat out for 69.99 a month or B) switch to Everything Data... which both cost the same oddly enough for 5 lines lol...
I talked to Walmarts people and Supervisor.. I talked to Sprint CS and also via Chat.. I talked to Account Services and then Supervisor - Marga'rette hung up on me... Called Account Services again and then another Supervisor... Noone seemed to be any help what-so-ever... |
