Re: Sprint Overdrive
Using the EVO isn't very convenient...I have to keep it on/against a fan to prevent over heating. Then there's the issue of 4G on it being ridiculously slow...still looking into this but it seems to be happening with people that flash different 4G radios. The best I can get is 1 Meg D/L speeds whereas, when I first got the phone it was 3-7M...
I'd also like to be able to leave the computer running (remote desktop) while I'm at work, but obviously can't do that. Cable internet around me seems to be right in line with what an Overdrive would cost...might not be quite as fast but seems like the better deal due to portability. BTW, details fixed...been through 4 phones this year. It's hard to keep everything updated. Glad to say I finally found one I'm truly happy with! Last edited by awenthol; 10-04-2010 at 11:28 PM. |

Considering wireless card costs its pretty much as getting a 2nd 4g phone with a SERO Premium..unless maybe its cheaper with family plan.

Might have to try some different kernels and maybe make this phone more usable. Not too enthused about an extra $60/mo for a data card. BTW, the Epic may be different...all I know is my EVO gets pretty hot in a hurry ![]() |
